***Official Panthers @ Broncos***

Quote:To me, it has nothing to do with his personality, just his style of play. You have to do what you need to do to contain him. If you have a QB running all over the field, holding on to the ball trying to extend plays, and also blocking for RB's, he deserves all the punishing hits. His style of play doesn't mean he's able to be hit in head in the pocket though. The # 26 guy and Marshall clearly launched and aimed for the head.
No Fun

Quote:I just saw 3 of the hits from last night's game and can't believe flags weren't thrown. I'm not even a Newton fan and I feel bad for the guy. Sometimes it just happens and we complain about too many flags being thrown for helmet collisions on bang bang plays. Unfortunately I don't think that was the case last night.

Cam hasn't received a PF call since week 11 2014. There's no way the refs would have allowed those hits to happen on Rodgers or Brady.

I won't disagree, but I saw a few blatant holding calls against Miller that were overlooked. Overall, I thought the refereeing sucked. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Is it just me, or do other people get the impression that the Broncos get away with a lot of stuff recently. I don't know about any statistics for penalties. It just seems that every time I've watched them play the past couple seasons, they get a ton of favorable calls and don't get flagged as much for obvious fouls.
I remember the Steelers seeming to get away with a bunch of crap in the 90'same and early 2000's. Now, it seems that the Broncos are that team. Idk. It's my pereception anyway. I can't believe they got away with rocking CN like that in the pocket.
Quote:I won't disagree, but I saw a few blatant holding calls against Miller that were overlooked. It did suck. They kept throwing flags just to stop the clock when there was no foul on the play. Ridiculous. But when real fouls occurred they kept the flags in their pockets.
Quote:FIFY., I can't recall another superstar NFL player that pouts as much as Cam does when he doesn't get a call he thinks he should get. When he was laying on the ground in the Super Bowl, in the end zone, after what he thought was a late hit and didn't get the flag and he just jerked around on the ground like a big old baby that didn't get his way, that was just classic pouting Cam. I read the Panthers board after the Super Bowl and I remember a few Panther fans saying how embarrassing it was to see him jerk around on the ground like that.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

It seems to me from watching the game and seeing those helmet to helmet hits and head shots on Cam that the refs appear to be a bit biased towards Cam. I also believe that Rodgers, Brady and several other QBs would have drawn a flag on a few of those same exact hits that Cam got during the Broncos game. Actually, I've seen lesser hits called for those guys just in the last couple of seasons.

No, that would mean officials are biased toward Denver because the Broncos got away with RTP three times. Quote:It's called being a hater. Every NFL fan loves to hate somebody. I wonder if someone with Aspergers would understand what a "hater" is and to use it as such. ![]()
Quote:I wonder if someone with Aspergers would understand what a "hater" is and to use it as such. In this case it means you choose to hate a football player. Quote:I can think of one....paymeaton.manning was the biggest baby No way. He definitely did not pout like Cam Newton does. You must be thinking of Tom Brady.

Had that been the Jags and one of our guys made that helmet to helmet hit, I can almost guarantee there wouldnt be a nullifying penalty and the other team would get the 1st down and win the game
We don't get those calls when our guys screw up |
