Ridley Speculated to Hit Free Agency

3rd round pick flushed from a 1 year rental. And now with a division rival. I had a feeling he wasn't coming back.

Nah, trade down and get Coleman or Leggett (sp?).

Troy Franklin is good enough to be a #1 WR and should be there when we pick. Brian Thomas probably as well. Or we could package something together and try to move up to get Odunze assuming Nabers and Harrison go very early. I'd rather have some of those guys than Ridley. They have superstar potential. Ridley was just okay for us this past year. Good moments mixed with disappointments. He now goes to a team where WRs go to fail.

Do we still lose the third round pick now that he signed with another team?

I can't blame him. He can go vacation in Nashville for a couple of seasons and be set.

The Titans were +1800 to sign Ridley, just saying...

Nope.

If it’s me (well if it were me we would have never been in this position), I’m getting Trevor a top flight WR. Odunze is miles better than Coleman and Legett. If MHJ wasn’t coming out, he would be WR1.

He's 30 and this is the first time he's hit free agency, I was quite surprised when it looked like he was going to stay for less money. Of course he was going to take the biggest offer possible, this is his only chance to cash in and he made a lot of mistakes last year too.

Makes sense for Titans and for Ridley.

Hope we go big in the draft. This is the best ever WR draft allegedly so hopefully means we get someone really good even at 17. (Or higher...)

Yeah while part of me was annoyed to see him go tot he titans, would anyone really want to pay him that?

Yes. The third wasn't contingent on him signing a new deal with us.

Yes we lost the 3rd but not the second rounder. It's possible we get a 3rd round comp pick for him next year with what he signed for.

Right giving up a potential 23 mil a year to a guy who's drops cost us multiple games isn't smart. Especially if you're in the camp that feels had Zay and Kirk stayed healthy Ridley wouldn't have made it past 1000 yards and had 8 tds. My guess is he has 600 yards and 5 tds with the Titans.

I am in this camp and agree. Say Jones was clutch before injury. And at 23 mil a year, ridley has to go.

Last year was probably as motivated as Ridley is ever going to get. I’d be surprised if he produces for the Tacks

lolololol

Anyway, like I said, dude dropped too many passes. Idc, I mean it could have been the rust but I still prefer a young guy in the Draft (you [BLEEP] better draft a good one Baalke!).
