The acromioclavicular ligament in the shoulder (ACL).

An updated quote on NFL.com's page:

NFL Media columnist Michael Silver, who was embedded with the Jaguars during the draft's first round, said that Jacksonville general manager Dave Caldwell texted him "brutal" in regard to Fowler's injury. Silver added that "early indications are it doesn't not look good."

Horrible start to our weekend! lol Still hoping for the best though!!

GO JAGS!!

maybe we can trade fowler for sam bradford and then package bradford with 3 or 4 other really good players we have and get the best guy from oregon next year.

Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

If you are picked in the first round by the Jags, there is a high possibility that you will be:

1. a bum

2. a druggy

3. injured

Only a few can sneak through and defy the odds.

If it is indeed an ACL tear is there any hope he comes back late in the season?

I wouldn't think so if its anything close to that significant I'd think they would call this season a wash and hope for a full recovery next year.

Boom.

I remember some kid in HS football saying he tore his ACL and he had a shoulder sling on.

Possibly since it occurred so early; but doubtful. I'm more worried about him being the same athlete he was; if it indeed is an ACL issue.

Lovely.  I bet they already know.  Just waiting to announce it tomorrow at a presser.

Not likely. He'd go to IR but should be healthy for OTAs next year.

He said the mood and the impact on the jags right now is "brutal". That doesn't mean the injury itself is brutal. Stay positive guys, there's still hope it isn't a very serious injury that will keep him out all year.

No.  Season is over in 8 months, and I seriously doubt they are contending for a playoff spot and will need his services.

We just need to relax. Fowler will bounce back from his ACL in a couple weeks and be stronger than before
