2nd Round Pick 36 TJ Yeldon

#21

Would have been better off with Coleman.

He wasn't even the best RB on Alabama's roster. Are you kidding me??
10 years ago we had Bob Hope, Johnny Cash, and Steve Jobs..... Please don't die, Kevin Bacon.

Caldwell is an obvious needs drafter though.
No doubt...I expect FS, WR or LB to be drafted next since he clearly drafts for need and not close to BAP at all.

I think we reached on Yeldon - even though he would fit our system of running backs.

He is more of a powerful back with decent speed as opposed to the shifty Denard Robinson...

I did not like the pick @ #36...

Quote:Not a fan of the pick at all. Would have liked to see us trade down, or take Tevin Coleman instead. Not a fan of Yeldon at all.

My only issue with Coleman is he isn't an interior runner

He beats guys with incredible speed not power

I dont know enough about yeldon to make an assessment

I preferred ajayi but can only assume the knee is a real issue

I like Yeldon and think as the draft season went he got to be underrated because of Bama backs the last few years. But i thought if we drafted him it'd be in the 3rd or 4th. He was my 3rd favorite back remaining as far as possible starters that also compliment DRob and are scheme fits

Quote:OK...whoever is holding the real Dave Caldwell, can we please pay the ransom in place of this fake Caldwell making the pick?

TJ Yeldon? Really? With how deep this draft is at running back? Oh my god

Which of Caldwell's picks so far have been a home run?

RB was deep this year.  Plenty of good players on the board.  Not a fan of the pick.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I know we need a RB, Caldwell said this draft was going to be a BPA draft.. Obviously not

Time to trade up for a RB

Although he did have a pretty good proving ground at Alabama.  Who knows.

Must be WalterFootball...

Cause they've given it an A and Fowler a B+ and they usually hate everything Dave does.

Quote:He was my favorite RB after Gurley. A lot of ppl will hate this pick, especially with Coleman still on the board. He's a high runner, but he has wonderful speed, vision, and power. I think he is way similar to Ladanian Tomlinson

He ran a 4.61. Fowler ran faster than him...

Kill me now. He's not even the 4th best RB available. Jay Ajayi, Duke Johsnon, Telvin Coleman, and Ameer Abdullah all better than this guy.

He learned under Thomas Dimitroff, a noted needs drafter.
