Mark Sanchez and Matt Leinart! There was so much hype over these 2 x Usc quarterbacks but I didn't like either. Both had work ethic issues coming in to nfl. Leinart had such a weak arm. Sanchez I thought was just ok at USC nothing special to separate him.

Same here never liked either of them, Leinart was just not an NFL QB and just hype, Sanchez I liked a lil better then Matt but still wouldnt have drafted him. 

 

I didnt want Gabbert either i'm on record of wanting to get Andy Dalton, a lot of people wanted Ryan Kerraigan I was against him because I felt he was a 3-4 OLB which he is now, JJ Watt was the one DE I wanted that a lot of people wasnt talking about most people wanted the other DE's.

 

Say what you want about Dalton but he gets his team to the playoffs every year and his numbers get better every year, I would have taken that over the crap we had the last 5 years.

Michael Crabtree .. not a total bust, but certainly not even close to the elite WR people thought he was going to be

Vernon Gholston, Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, Stephen Hill (mostly any Jets over-hyped players) 

Brady Quinn, Kyle Boller, Ponder, Locker

B.J. Raji, Aaron Curry, Morris Claiborne 

I kinda want to add Joeckel to the list but, I hold out hope... 

 

This year I predict Winston will be good early but throw a ton of picks and eventually fizzle out in Tampa

He's no Gabbert, Josh Freeman, or Geno Smith.  Prior to last post-season, his post-season numbers weren't far removed from Andrew Luck's.  Luck has his wins, but folks conveniently forget how bad his losses were.

I remember I really like J.J. and though the Jags should have stayed put and picked Watt or trade back a little for Kaepernick.. It's heartbreaking to watch a great player in that disgraceful Tin Can outfit.. he's on the wrong team!

Not a Bust, but not Joe Greene .. I would remove him actually.. He's like in the middle.. He looked weak and out of shape coming out to me and I just didnt see why people saw him as a top 10 prospect .. maybe because we were spoiled with Henderson and Stroud for 8 years I became so accustomed to momouths that could move in the middle

No I'm with you. He had stretches of dominance but stretches of poor play as well. I'm with you thinking he is not a bust but no where near HOF. Just decent. I know the conversation surrounding him is that you never know what player he was going to be. He came up small a lot and came up big a lot. I was just wondering your take on him.

Dalton is getting the McNabb treatment early because he can't win in the post-season... That Bengals team has looked so good on paper the past two seasons but if they can close the gap, they could be playing in February

 They played this last playoff game without AJ Green. They have gotten some bad injury breaks the past couple years as well (Geno Atkins left 2 years ago with a torn ACL).

 

Dalton does have a ton of talent to work with and should be doing more but I would love to have made the playoffs the last 4 years.

Seriously though, that team has been stacked on offense and defense.  He's the one bringing it down.  They'd be doing a lot better with a good QB.

QBs dont grow on trees, if you can have a QB that you can win with and he is putting up 3,000/4,000 yards and 20/30 tds seasons, thats a good QB, no hes not elite, but everybody isnt gonna be Manning, Brady, Rodgers.

QBs dont grow on trees, if you can have a QB that you can win with and he is putting up 3,000/4,000 yards and 20/30 tds seasons, thats a good QB, no hes not elite, but everybody isnt gonna be Manning, Brady, Rodgers. 

A guy with 3000 yards and a 19:17 TD:INT ratio is good?  Especially considering he has a good o-line, a solid run game, and one of the best receivers in the entire league.

I absolutely HATED the Derrick Harvey pick. With a passion. I was so upset when not only did we pick him, but traded up for him.

 

I didn't like Locker. I didn't really scout Gabbert since he was viewed as a top pick and I never considered he was an option.

 

Didn't like Amukamara, wasn't a Derrick Morgan fan.

Assuming I didn't miss anything, that would put him at 25th in the league.  I'm sure you may be able to make a case for a couple of those guys but I don't see how he's not ranked at best 20th, which makes him below average.

Considering where he was drafted compared to where the the vast majority of those QBs you're comparing him to were taken, shows he's unfairly given more criticism/less credit than due.

 

Bill Polian thinks he'd still be with the Colts had he drafted Dalton to groom behind Manning.
