Classy move for Yarno

#21

On topic, I think it is great that George Yarno can get all of the money he needs for cancer treatment, not just the limited health benefits provided by insurance companies. It must make him feel better knowing the financial part of cancer treatment is not a problem. Kudos to the Jaguars for showing how much they care about him.

Quote:I wouldn't consider this charity.  It's simply the right thing to do with Yarno.  Butkus deserves an opportunity to develop as a coach under someone with the experience he lacks.  It's not his fault he was thrust into that position last year.  The fact that they recognize he has a role with the team is encouraging.

my reference to charity is having butkus and olson on the payroll.

khan opening up his checkbook shows how classy the guy is and how he runs his business.  Keeping Butkus on the payroll is a bit much but if he gets along with Marrone I guess its worth keeping him.

This organization is strongly people-oriented.  Shad has always taken care of his employees and created a good environment for them to succeed.

This organization may have lost some games but, it's shown nothing but a class n the way

they do things since purchased by Khan.

one of the reasons I renewed my tickets this year.

I doubt the Jaguars would want both coaches if they could not get along. Gus Bradley probably saw signs of a good relationship while interviewing Doug Marrone.

With a classy move like this, how can you not root for the Jags?

Awesome story.  Great move by the organization...

Better to be a jags fan right now than a pats fan...  (I know they are in the SB, but dang they look like a real sorry organization right now)

1 of the reasons I'm glad to be a Jacksonville Jaguars fan.

I agree it's the classy move to make, and that not every team would make this move.

So just to be sure we're all on the same page, Yarno's has the title but not the duties. That is to say, Doug Marrone is the new OL coach while last year's interim OL coach Luke Butkus is Marrone's assistant OL coach helping to provide some continuity
