Jaguars-Texans game Flexed to FOX

I agree. Fox is better. CBS is just gonna jock Watts all game and show him watching as the ball is ran away from his side.

"JJ Watt is awesome at watching the play develop away from him. He did a good job of telling his guys to tackle to ball carrier."

If you think I offended you, don't worry, I meant to. #facts

Quote:Also, the Falcons-Panthers game is the only head-to-head elimination game of the weekend.  The NFL wants as many households getting this type of game as possible since it is essentially a playoff game.  I would expect most of the country to see this game on CBS instead of the Raiders-Broncos game.  In my opinion, the Falcons-Panthers game would have been a better choice for Sunday night because of the elimination factor, though I know that prime time Steelers games are likely a better draw nationally.

According to what was written in the following article,  the Panthers-Falcons game would have been the Sunday NBC Flexed choice if not for the fact that FOX lost a game to NBC in the previous four Week # 17's:

I noticed that Chris Myers and Ronde Barber are the announcers on the Jaguars- Texans game.   I've listened to them on several games this season and feel that they are amongst the best NFL announcing teams in the present era.

Snowwolf,  at present time,   the Jaguars-Texans game won't be on the local FOX station where you live.  Unless something changes,  the Sports Bar where you watch Jaguars games sounds like your best option again.

I'm not sure if it will happen with a Jaguars game next year but it's a near certainty that it will happen again with some NFL games.

That link can be very helpful with planning for the following Sunday.  Keeping in mind though that changes are sometimes made regarding which game a given market will see.   It's a good idea to check the link again on Saturday Night.

Because that game was flexed to CBS, it obviously was not protected by Fox, so why would they care if NBC took it? The NFL's decision will backfire if it gets higher ratings than the Bengals/Steelers game.

I learned that the hard way when Alachua County switched me from Giants/Jaguars to Saints/Steelers. (Luckily CBS showed the Chargers/Ravens game so I could watch that.) But every other week, the maps were accurate in my area.

I don't think that the Networks can protect a game in Week # 17.

What happened that week to you is a painful reminder that the NFL and the TV Networks / Local Stations don't look at NFL fans as individuals.

I hate CBS but the dang small score box on FOX annoys me sooooooooo much.. 60 inch TV, half an inch score box.

I have a 42-inch TV and that score box does not look small to me at all. It is probably about two inches long.

Don't forget years ago all of the networks had little score boxes and Fox started the black bar trend.

Why is part of South Carolina getting the Browns and Ravens?

Love it.  Fox is a better broadcast with the 720p.  CBS with 1080i has jaggies during fast motion...like football games.

Likely because Connor Shaw,  who was the South Carolina QB,  has a good chance of starting for the Browns this coming Sunday.
