Championship Week Games Of Interest

Quote:Best play of the Bama/Auburn game was Kiffin throwing his hands in the air before the ball was even thrown.  He knew it was coming....he's a jerk, but that was funny.
Always had a great offensive mind. He knows his stuff. He knew what coverage he was getting, his play called, and what would happen if they did what they did at the snap. That was awesome.

Trav, FYI Arizona beat Oregon earlier this year, not last season.

Of course, I will be rooting for Georgia Tech, Missouri, and Arizona without expecting any of them to win. At least one of the top four teams needs to lose for Ohio State to have a chance.

So what about Wisconsin? The only Badger I know about is running back Melvin Gordon. My only concerns are inability to stop him and backup Cardale Jones starting at quarterback.

FYI you're wrong.  They beat them last year 42-16 in Arizona too.

I had actually forgotten about Arizona's win this year in Eugene.

The Ducks will finally get a shot at revenge today. I hope they lose again.

I hate only being able to watch one Saturday night game. Seeing the ACC and Big Ten championshps are at the same time makes me miss the picture in picture feature an old TV had.

I'd like to see Arizona win tonight, if for no other reason than I'm liking that 3-3 Stack Defense more and more. But it's really, really hard for a college squad to beat the same team twice in a season, especially when you are on a somewhat comparable talent level.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Comparable talent level in what way? Arizona was not even ranked during the first meeting. For a long time it looked like ASU or UCLA was going to with the division. So I would be shocked if anyone compared the Wildcats and Ducks recently  because of their talent levels. But I pay no attention to the Pacific 12 and don't even know which city Arizona University is in, so I will learn a lot tonight. One thing I do know is when Rich Rodriguez was at Michigan, the Wolverines were terrible, especially on defense. So I am interested in seeing what is different at Arizona to make him succeed there with the 3-3-5 formation that was a complete failure at Michigan.

How do you not compare talents?  They both won their division and have teams ranked towards the top of the national standings.

The only place Rich Rod wasn't successful is Michigan.  He is a very innovative offensive mind.

Oregon has a Heisman Trophy candidate and potential #1 draft pick for a quarterback. Oregon has been a top five team most of the season. Why was Arizona only a blip on the radar before its win at Eugene?

Whats your point?  They are 10-2 and one of the teams they beat is Oregon.  To question if they are on the same level athletically as Oregon is a pretty moot point.

For people that watch west coast football, they've been more than a blip.  You admittedly don't watch them or even know where the school is.  Just because Oregon gets some ESPN time because Nike funds their world doesn't mean Arizona doesn't match up.

You know, people would probably not be as apt to rile you up and give you nicknames that you don't like if you didn't attack things that you don't even know about.

I understand that you have a very difficult time detecting subtlety and layered meanings, but to simply assume that something is wrong because you haven't heard information on it is really rather rude.

When I stated "somewhat comparable talent level" I meant in terms of contending teams, not necessarily exactly even talents. In fact, that's what "comparable" means. That two items, while one being greater than the other, can be compared.

In other words I interpret too many comments here literally. That is nothing new. I go by the definitions of words because except for idioms, that is all I know. One poster has a signature about criticizing a man. The advice ("walk a mile in his shoes:") is good here if you change it to woman, but obviously easier said than done. (Of course I know that statement does not mean put his shoes on and walk a mile.) Maybe changing the text color would help me understand there is a hidden meaning. What do you think about that?

Back to the topic: What does Arizona have to do to win? Does anybody expect an upset? I can't wait to root against the Ducks tonight.

I'm thinking ducks win this by 13 tonight. With the offensive line healthy they should be able to score a little more than last meeting.

Should still be a good game regardless.
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."

Well I didn't know grasu was out. Just found out when the replacement made that mistake though...

No.

You interpreting things literally is NOT the point. You speaking out without consideration is the point.

You are rude.

You need to understand that and stop hiding behind your issue

Arizona can thank the officials it is not much worse. Oregon needs to learn how to stop committing penalties before the playoffs start.

I don't expect to be a happy football fan at 7:00, but does anybody think MIssouri can pull off an upset?
