So how about those halftime adjustments...

Quote:Play calling got better too. Rollout passes worked well. The play calling did change at halftime, and it was key. No more "establish the run" stuff. It was in Bortles hands primarily along with some wildcat stuff. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:took this from the Giants board: Oh..

Quote:Not according to some. It was a stark difference on both sides of the ball. If I could find some split stats it's painfully obvious.
They need to let Bortles run the 2 minute offense the entire game.

Quote:I didn't watch the 2nd half but I'm guessing Eli was Eli. Jags stepped up considerably. Quote:Not according to some. Roll-outs, wildcat, read-option, and misdirection were all called effectively at times in the second half. (not disagreeing with you … I think)
Quote:Roll-outs, wildcat, read-option, and misdirection were all called effectively at times in the second half. They also called 2 fumble returns for TD's. Why don't they call them more often. Coaches deserve credit for getting the win. But there was no magical adjustments. They did some wildcat when Bortles was getting sacked a lot. It wasn't a "halftime adjustment" We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:They also called 2 fumble returns for TD's. Why don't they call them more often. Haha. Absolutely. Adjustment wasn't the difference maker. The defense was. Nonetheless there were some adjustments on offense. Nothing we haven't seen before, but things they weren't incorporating in the first half. (not that they had much chance to)
Quote:took this from the Giants board: lol, how many times have we seen this exact post right here on this board, just switch the team names where the Jag's opponent is the 1st name and the Jags are in the 2nd spot, having no answers.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
loved how BB5 came out in the 2nd half, hopefully he can play like that all game.

Quote:I didn't watch the 2nd half but I'm guessing Eli was Eli. Eli actually had a pretty good game, except for the 2 fumbles lost. He was 24/34 for 247 yds 1 TD no INTs. He was also sacked less then BB in this game.
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:If a team plays badly in second half they made no adjustments. If they play well they made halftime adjustments. The problem with the whole stupid sentiment is the Giants were KILLING THE JAGUARS AT HALFTIME. Why would they change anything when they're dominating us? The problem with the Jaguars never making halftime adjustments is it's not like they're heading into the second halves of games having dominated the first half normally.

Maybe they knew the Jags were going to make halftime adjustments so made some adjustments of their own to counter the anticipated adjustments. We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:They also called 2 fumble returns for TD's. Why don't they call them more often. Obviously you're right in that you can't account for that but what led to those fumbles? The pressure was significantly ramped up in the second half. Can that not be due to a coaching adjustment?
