Please man, don't insult my intelligence just because you're a basketcase [BLEEP].

LOL just recently became a headcase?

Bro... look at the Jets record the past few years... are you seriously kidding me? He took a roster that had potential and ran it into the ground... you're a moron dude.

You're the one saying not to hire someone because of his brother, and I'm the moron?

Quote:I agree Bradley deserves a year,

My concern is both of his appointments, our D looks good but apparently because Bradley has taken over for the last 3 games

I didn't realize that Gus took over the D  the last 3 weeks...

That's very concerning.  As a manager, you'd think that you'd make sure your specialty was inacted the EXACT way you made your bones...

But whatever...

It's all good in terms of our D.

How the heck do we fix the offense???

Find the team with the nest defense. Hire their coordinator as HC. It is simple people. Simple.

Do we have a source for that? I haven't seen it anywhere.

Was mentioned throughout the game today I haven't got a link.

Maybe Gus can take over the offense too!

No chance Gus Bradley is fired. This was a complete rebuild. We are on season #2. After blowing up the team, you have to expect poor results re: wins-losses for at least two seasons. We were not a stacked team like the 49ers and Chiefs were when they hired Harbaugh and Reid. Look at how many rookies have started for this team! How can you expect us to be world beaters with a bunch of college kids??

Calm down. You should have expected this. Sure we can have a better record, but we have been competitive in most of these games and that's a little thing called progress. Next year these promising rookies will be much better and smarter. We will see improvement. Gus Bradley and his overtly positive behavior is what you want when you expect rough times ahead. Keep the players hopes up and keeping things in perspective. We were never going to the playoffs this year with the inexperience we have. Be patient.

And dude stop throwing around the world [BLEEP] it's completely over the line and disrespectful.

Well since you want to do this the hard way.. we'll do it, since you're somehow oblivious and trolling at the same time:

Rob Ryan (Browns DC 2009) - 31st

Rob Ryan (Browns DC 2010) - 22nd

Rob Ryan (Cowboys DC 2011) - 14th

Rob Ryan (Cowboys DC 2012) - 19th (imagine that, they decided not to renew him again the following year, in which he got signed on by the rams and quit 5 days later, heading to the saints)

Rob Ryan (Saints DC 2013 - 4th while playing over half their games with losing records)

Rob Ryan (Saints DC - 2014 - 25th) ouch...

Dude... I can tell you're a Rob Ryan fan, but he's done absolutely little to nothing on any of his teams to make matters better....

you can keep going, but I rest my case... and I'm done, have a good night Smile

Ahhhh, my wife's family were all here so I couldn't hear anything they were saying most of the game.

Gus is a good coach, and Shad and Dave will be patient.  Gus will have pressure for a winning season next year and probably needs a playoff team in 2016 to keep his job, but he is completely safe right now and will be safe next year if the team is competitive.

The team is improving steadily.  This was another game where they knocked around a pretty good team and stoned them on a lot of plays, but the few things they didn't do well were the difference in the game.

It's tough to say whether Gus gets another season or not. Last season we managed 4 wins with arguably a worse roster, and this season we'll be lucky to match that record. Now rebuilds take time - I get that - but this off season we had a decent draft and spent money in free agency on some good players (eg Beadles, Gerhart; Bryant, Hood, Clemons), and yet, we haven't really got any better [or at least it hasn't translated into wins].

I don't know if I want to see us win four games again, because if we down right suck for the first or second overall pick we'll be in a good position to land a damn good player, or to try to gain a lucrative trade deal for a QB needy team. But that aside, for Bradley to get another year this team needs to show progress. If the offense and defense rank higher than last year, and show that they are close to taking that next step, then he might get another year. But if they don't and we suck and show no real progress, then I wouldn't be surprised if a change happens.

Who would I go for?

I'd probably go for an offensive head coach, and maybe look at someone like Joe Lombardi, Josh McDaniels or Hue Jackson. I wouldn't rule out another defensive side of the ball hire like Todd Bowles, but I think grabbing an offense guy could be a good move to make. That said, I do think Gus will get another year if enough progress is shown.

I'd actually like to see this defense with a real FS, a little more seasoning in the secondary/LB corps, and a more progressive thinking DC under Bradley.  I think it could be a devastating defense.

I seriously doubt Gus is going anywhere.

If a year from today we are have less than a .500 record then Gus's days will be numbered. I seriously doubt he is going away before the end of next season.
