The sooner the San Andreas Fault goes and that cesspool drops into the Pacific ocean, the better.

Does any sane person really take into account what any kind of celebrity says politically?

Quote:This. I couldn't care less what any celebrity of any type; sports, acting, singing, etc., has to say about anything other than what they're profession is. I want to hear about Matt Damon talk about his latest movie, I don't care about his politics. Same for Clint Eastwood who happens to be a Republican. I don't care. Make your movies and live your life.

I don't care what you think about politics until you become one.

So you only discuss politics with politicians?

Haha haha hahaha

The irony incredible. I thought we just found out that celebrities can be president just with a few slogans.

Um, no. I just don't care what celebrities have to say about it just as I don't care about their opinions on clothes to wear, food to eat, etc. I don't take 'advice' from those whose sole purpose in life is self promotion. I may pay to be entertained by them sure but that's about it.

Where is "discuss" in Streep's tantrum?

My point simply is - I don't know why so many people get upset about artists having political views - any more that pipe fitters or insurance adjusters. It's just an opinion. Listen to it or ignore it and move on.

There just seem to be so many things people love to get irritated about.

Marie Osmond gets it.  Unfortunately she's having to defend herself from liberals all up in a tizzy.

From the article.

Quote:

She added, "I try to stay out of politics.
I'm an entertainer.
My interview statement simply tried to be nice and promote a message of love, not hate."

It's always a tantrum if it's against your guy. It's beautiful insight if it's for your guy. Funny how that works.

Some people get so upset when they see someone actually use the first amendment. It looks good on paper but ...

How is that different from "I'm an IT guy. I just try to provide my employer with an honest day's work and stay out of political discussions."

What are people so afraid of?

If you are referring to yourself as IT, it must mean idiocy trained.

I don't know why either, I was just voicing an opinion on the subject. And it seems like people have to be 'outraged' about something these days to feel relevant. Maybe I'm too far removed from my 20's to remember what being disgruntled was supposed to be about but I don't remember it being so......angry

She is every January or so with Nutrisystem. I wonder how many times she's "lost 30 pounds on Nutrisystem!"
