Titans threw for 233 yards. My god I'll take that every single week.

How are two back to back seasons with an 0-6 start, and a 9 game losing streak signs of "Improvement"?

I remember someone on here once mentioned that even if a team were to lose all of their 16 games by only 1 point, it still doesn't change the fact that you're 0-16. I really feel sad for our fanbase right now. Having to deal with this garbage for the last 6 years has probably caused some of us to lose our sanity. We should all give eachother a pat on the back.

NO. You are what your record is. You can buy into this hogwash the coaching staff is feeding you though. This franchise has institutionalized you.

I remember when the majority of this fan base said at the start of the season:

"I'll just be happy to field a competitive team"

"I just want us to still be in the games in the 4th quarter"

What happened to that? Most sound, logical people predicted a 5-11, 6-10 team. That is still a very likely scenario.

Its possible but no way is it "Very likely"

Except that was Checkdown Charlie Whitehurst that did that yesterday....by FAR his CAREER game.

I can't even imagine how many yards Manning, Luck, Rodgers or Stafford might have put on us yesterday. Whitehurst missed a long wide open would be TD.

bottom of the league in offense and defense isn't improvement.

You don't have to buy into anything.  You watch this team from week 1 to now and they have gotten better.  You may be upset they are 0-6, but they have gotten better whether you like it or not.

Has the team improved from week 1 to week 6?  Yes or no?

I agree that the team is playing better. I think the problem is with Fisch trying to run a play action scheme that doesn't work because our running game stinks. Let's run the spread and get guys like DRob and Storm some room to make plays and have our receivers stretch the field.

It's ridiculous that we keep running what we are now. No defense is going to bite on play action if we continue to average around 2 ypc.

OUr running game has sucked every since we started with this ZBS crap. YPC's across the board are poor from all of our RB and were last year too.

I don't care who you are playing.  If you hold someone to 233 yards in today's game, that is good.  How many starts has Whitehurst had?

We gave up 34, 41, 44 and 33 points the first 4 games.  The last 2 we have given up 10 (defensively) and 16 points.  We also have limited the big play significantly over those two weeks.

We will be at the bottom because we started off so poorly.  Whether you think we should be better or hate all the coaches, we have improved.  Whether you like it or not, we played better the last 2 weeks then we did the first 4 weeks.

I'm not a Fisch fan by any means, but it has to be tough for a coordinator to call plays when half of your play book winds up as a 1 or 2 yard play almost guaranteed.

Agreed. What I wouldn't give to see BB operate with the help of a "traditional" Jacksonville rushing attack.

Haha, the Titans suck dude.....the points given up you are referencing in the first 4 games were from good offenses.

If the Titans were a good offense, the Jags would have likely given up 30 points yesterday. Whitehurst as it was missed at least one wide open long play that was an easy TD.

I see tremendous progress on this team especially on the defensive side. Still there are obvious issues on defense that have to be addressed either by rookies getting better (Telvin Smith) or bringing guys in through free agency or the draft. We have got to get an actual FS. And if it were up to me I'd try and upgrade every spot at linebacker.

Yet and still they beat the beloved Andy Reid and the Chiefs. The Titans.

I couldn't believe the thread of tanking for a high draft pick.  "Losing" isn't that bad in the grand scheme of things.  WHAT!?  We've been losing for 7 straight years, and are "rebuilding" twice in that span.  I'm sick of this.  I don't want to be competitive until the end, I want to WIN.  0-6 for Gus is not excusable any longer. Aren't you supposed to get better every year with a new regime? Where were we last year at this time, oh yeah same as last year 0-6.  It's looking like we will not be competitive with this staff, ever.  Even with BB.

We all want to win but this roster isn't good enough to win many games. That unfortunately is a fact. You complain about rebuilding for 7 years so what would you suggest? Fire everyone and start the rebuild process over yet again?

It's getting old.  They need someone with experience.  Higher a HC who's been one before.  We are crawling with rookies everywhere.  Owner/GM/Coaches/Players.  It's showing big time.
