Unless he has an accelerated healing factor, Mathews is out for this game which invalidates your post.  Sorry.  We fixin' to get smoked.  Sad

Oh! Didn't realize that, who is currently at HB for the chargers?  (i'll just sub in the other name, #cuzimlazy)

EDIT, I see it's donald brown, wow the the chargers aren't very fortunate in the RB department huh?  Matthews and Woodhead out back to back.

Ha, it probably doesn't matter as he'll have a career day as well.  Sorry, 8 quarters of being blown-out have erased any optimism I had in the preseason.  I would LOVE it if the Jaguars prove me wrong this weekend.

Quote:I think it's a bad bet. Blake put up 17 points in the second half. Last week the colts was a great bet, but Blake is the wild card that may beat the spread.

The Colts had no idea they were going to see him because Gus Bradley kept the plan a secret all week. Now the Chargers know to look for #5 all four quarters, so the defense can stop him.

But can you stop him?!

Yes, but the colts still won by 27 points.  And they removed some starters on offense for 20 minutes of the second half.

Put Blake in for the whole game, and don't take out Luck  --  the colts still win by 13+ points and the Chargers are a better team than the colts right now. Just my opinion.

Quote:I'm calling it now. Not only does this team tend to put up a good fight against the Chargers but there will be a fire lit come Sunday. Not to mention, Bortles is in and that works to our favor. Can't gameplan against what you know nothing about. There is no running threat to worry about at all either. Our o-line is beginning to solidify and if our players love Gus as much as they claim we will see them grind tooth and nail to defend the scrutiny people are beginning to fire.

I think haveaseat should..... have a seat....

The Chargers are ridiculously better than the Jags. I think Bortles will show some flashes, and our O will show a bit more life...but our team makes way to many dumb mistakes to even compete with a polished, talented, top tier NFL team. A win would require some horrible mistakes by the Chargers to occur.

Rivers will make Luck look average against our D.

I think you should do this every week until it actually happens

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

I wish I could agree with that, but we still don't have Ace Sanders and Marqise Lee is out again. I am only optimistic about two things: scoring a touchdown before halftime and improvement on offense.

This game could get real ugly.  This defense just stinks

This is the one, and only game that is impossbille for us to win. They beat the Super Bowl Champs who happen to have the top defense by the end of last year. That same defense is already at number 8 after 3 games. we don't have a top defense, we are dead last.  We are also playing out west were we always get blowen out any more.  we don't have a china mans chance against chargers.  we will be 0-4.  We could get our first win vs steelers in Jacksonville, but beating SD at there home is imposbille. they beat Super bowl champs there.

From the Chargers message board:

A few posters think that this could be a trap game with the unknown in Bortles but most believe the Chargers win easily as expected.

Seriously? I think that is high for both teams.

A more accurate guess would be 30-something Chargers, 10-20 Jaguars.

We only have 12 games left to win 9 games snowwolf. Do we just go on a huge winning streak?
