Breaking down Hurns. Is he for real? or lightning in a bottle?
|
He dropped it yes but i bet if it was thrown where he didn't have to turn around he catches it.
The drop was 100% his not hennes

Not saying he is gods wr but a pass thrown in stride vs an adjustment is alot different.
Bortles can actually throw deep it is so exciting haven't had a deep throwing qb since leftwich. Gabbert could but his accuracy sucked.

Hurns is the real deal. He's got great technique making cuts and has an innate ability to track the ball in the air while adjusting his body to make the catch. That seems to be a quality that receivers either have or don't. He has it.
I think he'll be a very productive receiver - he may end up 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart - but will be productive enough to see lots of snaps.
I think if sanders doesnt keep himself out of trouble he may end up only playing substations and special teams.
If Robinson, Lee, shorts and Hurns light it up.

It hit him right in the chest. Even though he had to slightly slow down 98% of the starting WRs in the league makes that catch, especially considering the nearest defender is still 5 yards back. The only concern is between Hurns and the ball. ![]() He'll get better from it as I'm sure it was a learning experience for him. I still think he has a real chance to end up as the best WR on this team outside of Blackmon when its all said and done.

Definitely will he is given the best opportunity to succeed. Injuries and comes in and lights it up.

I'd really like to see him put on about 15 lbs and will feel much better about him. He's got a lankiness and that muscle addition would do him well. That is if it doesn't affect his agility any. But I don't think it would, just maybe some upper body bulk up and strengthen his quad hammies and calves will do well.
The WR class this year was so exceptional it's great we got a couple productive guys in the draft and hurns to compliment the group.
We may see a lot of padded stats on offense if our d continues to be terrible. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
It's obviously a small sample size but I think there's a very real possibility he plays Shorts off the team.
And by that I mean the team will choose to let Shorts shop himself in FA, and depending on the price may or may not re-sign him.
I agree, Senor. Shorts won't be holding a gun to their head, especially given his injury history.

He has the speed and strength, and great route running. Weren't we all surprised when he stung the iggles with those two touchdowns. Seeing him bull through and escape the clots defenders for the touchdown was a thing of beauty. That's not just knowing the schemes.....that's having speed and strength too! Looking forward to seeing these WRs jell with BB5.

Quote:Over the last 7 games (preseason included), We've seen the emergence of Allen Hurns. An undrafted rookie FA from Fisch's college team. Through three games, He has accumulated 7 rec, 186 yards, 3 TDs. The fact that he is even on the team is a miracle much less what he is doing now. I disagree his strength to plow thru defenders after the catch, his awareness, his route running / cuts, and his speed isnt that bad either. He needs to improve on his hands, a few catchable passes he dropped (of course most of it was by Chad and not thrown as good / quick as Blake). We have to remember this kid is only a rookie, from what weve seen not being drafted and barely on the team to performing so well from preseason until now he is a star in the making... I am positive he will make mistakes and he isnt better than Cecil Shorts at this point in his career but if he improves from this rookie year he has the potential of being much better than Cecil.... Cecil wasnt doing this good in week 3 of his rookie year... (only 2 rec in 10 games and didnt start). Heck even in Cecils 2nd year he had 7 tds while hurns already has 3 in 3 games.
Quote:Yeah, there's no excuses for that one. He lost concentration. It was a rookie mistake. When you have to slow down to make corrections for the ball it can mess with you (especially if you are a rookie why do people keep forgetting that...) because he probably heard footsteps from the defender & embrassed for impact or couldve been thinking of a move after making the catch.... but I agree his biggest weakness at this point is catching but he had Chad throwing to him, lets see how he does with a real QB
Quote:Not saying he is gods wr but a pass thrown in stride vs an adjustment is alot different.Yep very exciting, and even the short passes have so much zip on them.... Quote:It's obviously a small sample size but I think there's a very real possibility he plays Shorts off the team.Agreed completely. His continued emergence could easily make Shorts expendable. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

He's a rookie.. he's going to drop a few balls this year... they will decrease as more passes come on time and in the correct window.
I ain't no monkey... I'm an ape.

I think he is for real. Just needs to be groomed more.
If you think I offended you, don't worry, I meant to. #facts
