The shiny new QB they're keeping on the bench.

If he doesn't play next week I may not even watch.  Call me whatever you want as a fan but them continuing to play Chad Henne is [BAD WORD REMOVED] and I don't want to watch it again.  I just don't.  It's not even entertaining to watch, at all, not one bit.  This team needs a breath of fresh air, they HAVE that fresh air, and he's sitting on his butt wearing a cap holding a clipboard on the sideline.

Well, Chuck Noll started 1-16... so, the answer is a resounding "NO!!!!".

Thank you, come again.

I watch NFL games and see rookie and second year players performing a hell of a lot better than the guys we have.

And he'd be the one getting the 10 sacks today. You don't use a Lamborghini in a demolition derby. You throw the '78 AMC out there.

The staff knows this team isn't ready for Bortles, and they're dead set on keeping him alive until they are.

Just send 5+ and you will beat the Jaguars. Keep the Jaguars Defense on the field all day.

So you think Bortles would have had all of those sacks? It is possible but I'd argue it's not likely. Did you not see Henne sack himself on multiple occasions?  Blake has ten times the pocket presence and awareness that Chad could ever hope for.  He has the strength, size, and mobility to avoid the rush and make plays with his legs.  He has a better arm (a lot better) and he can throw on the run better than Chad can throw in any fashion.  I have no doubt in my mind the number of sacks would be less had Blake played that game.  On top of the fact that the rest of the team is likely to play better with a good QB behind them instead of a guy they can't have any faith in.

With Henne on the field the majority of the season this is a 2-14 to 4-12 season.

With Blake it could still be that type of season but the odds are considerably better that we're 6-10 or better.  I don't see 6 wins as even possible with Henne.

Perhaps all that is true, but my point is that you weren't ever going to see Bortles get his first start on the road in either Philly or Washington. Henne time is almost up, but clearly the team needs more work first and the environment if (when) they throw Bortles out there needs to be as friendly as possible.

If we wait for the "environment" to improve that much he might be sitting until 2016 or later.

Better QB play will make that environment look better.

no big deal we are 0-2 lost to  2 teams on the road.  Can you people not see we have a lot of players out hurt, and we will also play our best at the home games.  Winning games at home will draw fans to home games, and so will keeping them close at home. I still say jags go 9-7 Most loses on the roads, and most wins at home. If you ant to doubt 9-7 go right ahead. I don't care if I'm the only one who belieaves it.

We stink. Time to put all the pre-season hopes away.

The sooner I accept that we are going to struggle all year, the less frustrating these Sundays will be

I don't blame you as a fan. There's a point where you have to push all of this "True Fan" bull to the side and realize you're not actually having fun watching this team anymore, and you're not obligated to continue doing anything you aren't having fun doing.

Thankfully, the season will just fly by while I'm in basic training in October. I don't think I can stomach a 2013 repeat.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

I like Blake, but he has to play before we can get excited about him.

And every team has young exciting players.... We aren't the only team that has youth on their side.

My expectation had been that the Jags would probably go 6-10. I thought we would do better than last season because of the f/a acquisitions we got on defense. But our defense is showing that it just can't keep up the tempo when it's kept on the field all the long day due to our inept offense's propensity for going 'three-n-out' over, and over, and over. That and having injuries to key secondary players like Cyprien. I have no confidence in our offense at all given the performance of the line.

Consequently, my confidence in what this team will do this season has waivered significantly; so much so that now I question if they will finish any better than they did last year at 4-12. Indeed, I wonder if they will even do that good; their performance for 3 out of 4 halves of football has been that bad....Gus's 'positive thinking' and 'pep talks' aren't getting it done...
