If you don't like it, get over it.
If you dont want to discuss the many better options out there no matter how futile they may be thats fine.

But discussion is the purpose of this whole forum thing if you had not heard by now.

Glennon has not been confirmed as "bad". He actually looks like a decent QB. I like him a lot.

Tyrod and Kaep are fine though. Tyrod does everything blake does but actually does them well and he doesnt have a [NO SYNONYM?] throwing motion.

No he shouldn't need any extra motivation to but if it makes him focus better then I'm all for it.

Yeah they'd be good but don't think Caldwell would rock the boat that much by signing them

There are definitely not "many better options". The best option is for Blake to have a career defining offseason and be the guy. If not, it's reset next offseason, probably with a new GM. We will definitely bring in competition but I simply don't see any options clear cut above Blake with an offseason of work. It ain't AJ, promise you that.

No, no trades, no over paying for a FA QB. Draft one that you convey and if it happens to be early fine. Im fine with competition for Bortles, but hes going to be the QB next season and it doesn't make any sense to trade away draft picks for a player that doesn't have much NFL experience and is not that good.

Manziel is available  .

Quote:He's definitely available and seems to believe his trade is inevitable. Id do it for a 2nd or 3rd. He played ok in his limited time as the bengals starter when dalton was injured.

Blake is pretty bad, so if were going to go into this season with a young "unproven" QB im taking AJs limited time over Blakes 3 seasons of mediocrity.

We might be able to get DeShaun Watson in the second.

Yet your ok with having Chip Kelly as a head coach even though he's proven twice he's awful at it.

It'll take a lot more than that. It's being reported on the radio here in the Cincinnati area that the Bengals were offered a 2nd and a 4th round pick last year and turned it down. They said if they were offered that same deal today, they'd take it, but they probably would not go lower than that.

Name those "many better options" who you know for a fact will be better than Blake.

Fun to watch him run around and make plays in college but 18 picks in 12 games?  Someone will pick him in the first but I wouldn't even pick him in the 2nd.  We need OL and RB in the top half of this draft.

Blake already said he understand a new coach can do whatever he wants and he is going to have his best offseason yet.

Adam Schefter said last week that Glennon is going to get between $15-17 million per season from some team. That seems way too risky for a guy I don't see as a starter.

I can get his talent without giving anything up

I'd rather use the picks than trade them.

Give me Davis Webb in the 4th round and a QB coach that will be a thorn in Bake's side all offseason urging him to tighten up the footwork/mechanics.

I'm fine with a mid-round pick and a coach bent on pushing Bortles, Allen, and the new kid to compete like hell for the starting job.

Not that I'd be upset if they made QB a higher priority than my suggestion --  I just don't really love the idea of spending more than a 5th or 6th on McCarron.

I agree. I don't think McCarron is a 2nd or 3rd round picks worth of better than even Bortles. We have a great many holes to fill on this team. We need to get draft picks, not give them away.

Calling Deshawn Watson a future bust since 3/19/17. If I eat crow, I will keep this in here and proclaim JackCity a genius.

Yeah I'm not paying that much for him.
