I got used to Gus calling our games.  It was like he was on the Jags payroll.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

Ha, I thought the same thing.

I remember the first few years, it seemed like it was always Don Criqui.

What do you expect? They were one bad pass away from the Super Bowl. Their opponent is the most popular NFL team. It is pretty easy to figure out what the big draw is.

Ugh, he was horrible. And because he worked with Steve Tasker, I did not like Tasker either for a long time.

Quote:UGH! Game of the Week on Fox is the one I want to watch and just because I am near Tampa I am stuck with the Buccaneers/Panthers. It's like when I had to watch awful Cincinnati and Oakland while most people saw Jacksonville and Denver - the day that clinched my decision to get NFL Sunday Ticket. Sometimes I miss DirecTV.

Amelia should post this thread in the NFL At Large forum because it is for all 32 teams, not just the Jaguars and their opponent.

I'm not sure if you are aware of the following.   This new option sounds like something that could potentially benefit you and others in similar situations:

That is not an option for me because I would have to spend $330 on the full service subscription. Every cent in my bank account goes to the vet and pet store.

That's more than understandable.  I just wanted to make sure you were aware of the option.

The next best thing would be NFL Rewind,  which would enable you to watch any game when there are no live NFL games going on.   That package is around $ 69 per year.

Sadly as long as I have a sick cat, even one dollar is too much to pay for a football game.

Of course I love the fact that DirecTV is giving people with money to spend that option.

Where you live,  do you have access to the Jaguars games on the radio?

Jaguars games are not the problem. I was complaining about missing the 49ers/Cowboys game at 4:00 because of my proximity to Tampa.

It wouldn't surprise me if the 49ers-Cowboys game is on the radio in most markets in the U.S.    It's worth checking the radio dial around the time that game starts if you at least want to listen to that game.

Here's Andrew Catalon, former Sports Anchor  from WNYT in Albany, N.Y.   I remember he was listed, and did TV play-by-play on the Bills/Bengals game at Cincy with Steve Tasker and Steve Beuerlein for the NFL On CBS back on October 2011.

I hear ya, JaguarsWoman.  Not about the vet and pet store, but about budgeting.  My wife stays at home with the our kids, so our money is really tight.  But I've cut out all my fast food indulgences and I pack my lunch for work.

It's only 39.99 for 6 months, lol...  And I just figured out how to cut 40 bucks from our budget.  So it worked out for me.

Ha!  I used to stream games too, 3 seasons ago!  The video quality stunk, but hey we weren't a very good team, so it was quite fitting.  Last year I got to see every jaguar game in spectacular HD!  Let me tell ya, the first half of the season, I wish I was still only watching choppy video on my small computer!!!

I just sent you a private message with an alternative option with a MUCH more reasonable price point ;-)
We are Jaguars.
