They came to Tally, not intimidated a bit and gave the Noles all they wanted, and then some.

Be proud of them dogs for dirty play and scoring on 2nd and 3rd stringers. Be very proud

Quote:You must be proud of this too.No, of that I'm not. The comment was stupid and he will pay for being a loose lipped buffoon. The type of blocking is legal, Jimbo said as much himself post game. Luckily for FSU they don't play GT. They'd struggle mightily with them. Better skill positions, and presumably a little bit better up front. Quote:Be proud of them dogs for dirty play and scoring on 2nd and 3rd stringers. Be very proud Since when has cut blocking become dirty? It's a legal play and pretty much every team out there does it every game. If I cared enough I would re watch the game to call out all the FSU chop blocks. Quote:No, of that I'm not. Quote:Difference between legal and intent to hurt.No one argued that. That was brought out of thin air by bigjohn and then piggybacked on by you. The comments were stupid. The play was legal, blocking at the knees is legal. Fisher said as much. One of the injuries wasn't even from blocking at the knee. DT got caught in a pile and O-Lineman kept running him over it, as he should of. I also find it funny FSU fans would point out dirty play, they've had their own responsible for some nasty stuff.

Quote:Difference between legal and intent to hurt. I agree, intent to hurt is bad and that kid isn't very bright for saying that. If he doesn't say that, this conversation doesn't happen. Chop blocking is a pretty important part of the game for many teams depending on their running style/quick pass systems. Do I think chop blocking is coached at the Citadel? Yep. Do I think the Citadel players chop blocked with nasty intent? Yep. Do I think it was legal? Yep. Quote:I agree, intent to hurt is bad and that kid isn't very bright for saying that. If he doesn't say that, this conversation doesn't happen.I was going to mention in my last post what was hit on here. Players are always going to block, tackle, etc with nasty intent. That's how it should be. JT, Bigjohn, can you honestly say that no FSU player has set out to block or tackle with intent to injure or hurt? Hill will pay a consequence, and rightfully so for his comments. I'll add this regarding suspensions. If Winston were a Citadel football player he would no longer be on the team following his crab leg ordeal.

Hopefully FSU learned their lesson from this and won't schedule teams that run that chicken **** high school offense anymore.
Quote:Hopefully FSU learned their lesson from this and won't schedule teams that run that chicken [BAD WORD REMOVED] high school offense anymore. Will they ever play GT? Cause they run it. At schools like The Citadel, Navy, AF, etc., it's a necessity. They don't get the lineman/skill guys offensively that other schools do. Calling it bird dung is ignorance at it's finest.

Quote:Hopefully FSU learned their lesson from this and won't schedule teams that run that chicken [BAD WORD REMOVED] high school offense anymore. Lol, that was the main style of offense in college football for many years. You are right, we used it in high school and we ran it pretty well. I Just because people would rather watch passing doesn't make it that expletive that you used. It was and is a good system for many who use it. It is not my favorite type of offense, but it is what it is. If FSU's athletic department were smart they may steer clear of that...but they wont. They played a team that you guys trash UF for and didnt get that 70-0 that they thought they would get. I'd be upset too. Quote:Lol, that was the main style of offense in college football for many years. You are right, we used it in high school and we ran it pretty well. I I'm not upset at all that we didn't beat them by 70. We won. We've won 18 in a row. Not every win following a championship season will be a blowout. I'm upset at the fact that the athletic department would schedule these teams. You gain almost nothing by playing them, and you are almost assured to get someone injured because of that style of blocking.

No offense to Trav, The Citadel is a below average Div 2 team. I expected 70-0. Quote:Lol, that was the main style of offense in college football for many years. You are right, we used it in high school and we ran it pretty well. I70-0 none of us care about huge blowouts to scrub teams these games are a practice for 1st string but mainly to get our backups real game time experience. Whats upsetting is the intent to injure mindset of an entire OLine and taking out 3 DTs and then bragging about it on social media. I played Guard in highschool for 3 years and we knew how to take out the Dline without going for the knees. This isnt a UF vs FSU discussion this is players gameplanning to hurt other players and if you're gonna sit here a defend them for that than you got some serious problems. Call it dirty and and be disgusted dont try to say we have some other agenda for being angry We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! The Citadel's defense held your team to 37 points. I don't care if its 1st, 2nd, or 3rd string.......The Citadel should never be able to do that. Who defended them trying to hurt them? We just said that cut blocking is legal. There are a lot of other things in football that cause more injuries than cut blocking. If you are a defensive lineman you should also be able to keep them off your legs. If they got in that close, you lost.
Yeah they held the first string to 30 points in a half of football and we held them scoreless. Call me terrified.
