***Officially official Roster Cuts***
|
Quote:Dude, you hate Shorts and Sanders. We get it. You don't need to pimp crap receivers and crap on receivers who've actually done something with their career in every thread you touch. Quote:Hurns isn't crap WR.I agree that Hurns isn't crap. We don't know what he's going to be like going forward; but he shows true promise. And you don't trade someone just because they have value. We need WR talent and he gives us that. Of any of the WRs to trade, if we traded any of them (which I don't believe we should); it would be Shorts. He's the oldest and has a prone to injury. I love the guy and hope he comes in this year and blows is up. But if we had to trade one of our WRs, it would be him. Because having Sullivan as our WR coach, veteran WR leadership isn't really needed per say. But don't take my context wrong, I don't want to trade any of them (if we even could, which we can't lol). GO JAGS!!
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

I'd like to raise the issue of guys unexpectedly getting placed on IR. I seem to recall it happening lots of times before. Guys with seemingly minor injuries going to IR on the last day of roster cuts.
Tandon Doss, anyone?
Quote:So uhh...second page and still no cuts?LOL! When is the cutoff time/date? I'm assuming early next week; so I doubt any happen today. I've been checking twitter, but nothing coming through. GO JAGS!!

IR/return is unlikely, imo, as his roster spot basically exists as long as Sanders is inactive. I think it's more likely than not that he just stays on the 53-man or gets an injury settlement.

If history is any indicator, many of those cuts will be made today.
Several teams have made cuts, nothing I've seen on twitter for the Jags tho.

I'll have to keep a closer eye on twitter because they probably will be coming through today or tonight. Thanks for the info! GO JAGS!!

This guy isn't going to be unemployed for long.

Anybody know about him? I tried to find some stuff via google and articles/draft stuff on him is hard to come by. Only posting because of our need for interior lineman.
Here's what I could find on NFLDraftScout.com:

There have been some rumblings about the Pats maybe parting with Ridley and/or only keeping 2 QBS; would be very surprised by either move

I'd be happy with Ridley, I have little to no confidence in Todman as RB2. I saw that Atlanta cut LBs Pat Angerer and Yawin Smallwood. Angerer was a guy who intrigued me, but I believe he was injury prone. Smallwood was an under-the-radar guy who is probably headed for the Practice Squad. Either that or he is really, really bad at football.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote: Ask our resident eagle fan

Quote: I don't know much about him, but if he's decent BRING HIM IN! The Eagles are good and deep on the OL so this could be merely a numbers game. Quote:The Eagles are good and deep on the OL so this could be merely a numbers game. This is true. Even bringing a guy or two in for depth would be nice. We lack it severely. Quote:I hope so. I don't want him simply released. He was the best punt returner in pro football last year.Based on what? |
