Quote:Thank God it is on TV in Gainesville! I can't wait to see Blake Bortes and all of our new wide receivers expected to keep their jobs next week. How long will the starters play tonight?

I don't get that.  How close is Gainsville to Jax?  Yet Im north of Daytona and cant get the game.

I can only watch if I had cable, but I have Uverse.  I cant watch it on NFL Preseason pass either because it will be blacked out.  BUT WKMG is not really showing the game, so it shouldn't be blacked out.  I emailed Preseason Pass with my complaint.  This happened last week too.

WKMG is showing it.  It's on their local affiliate station.  That's why it's blacked out on preseason pass.  The reason you aren't getting it is because AT&T Uverse and DirecTV don't have access to the WKMG local affiliate channel WKMGDT2.

I agree that it's stupid though.

I know that's why, but it doesn't make sense.  They should not have to black out a game that isn't accessible to everybody in the area.

Quote:WKMG told me on twitter that CBSSports decides what they show, so they cant be to blame.  Either way its ridiculous that Im stuck with Orlando tv, yet live 1.5 hours away from there.  Give me WJXT

I call BS on that one.  I had an email exchange with their program director a couple of years ago after they chose NOT to show a Jags game and instead showed Timmy Tebow and the Broncos.  I was informed that they were contractually obligated to show the Jags away games but could chose which games to show when the Jags were at home.     So, now they claim they have no choice?

I wish they would answer my question about the regular season road games.    Will they be showing the Jags on the main channel or on 6.2?

The Orlando Station director hates the Jags. But as soon as Bortles becomes the starter, he will change his tune.

I think what he was saying is that when given the choice (Home Games), CBS corporate decides what they do.  It's probably true, but the problem is that I'm not given an option to watch the game unless I buy a certain product (Brighthouse Cable).

But last week they did this same thing.  It was an away game, but they showed it on channel 6.2.... which I cant get.

If your TV has a built in digital tuner you can go get a simple set of rabbit ears and pull in 6.2.  That's what I did last week.

How far away are you from Orlando?  I thought about this but don't think the signal will reach without a huge antenna.

Quote:The game will be live in these markets. If you don't live in these markets you'll have to wait until NFLN replays the game.

...

For those out of coverage/interested, the NFLN is replaying the game Sunday morning at 3:00 am per the NFL website.

I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Being in Ormond Beach with a set of simple rabbit ears (provided you have a digital TV), you should be able to pick up the signal from the Orlando, Jacksonville, or even Gainesville stations.

I bought a pair of rabbit ears a couple years ago for about $12 and placed it behind my LED flat screen. It has come in handy a couple times when the cable went out in my area. I also pull in a some stations out of Gainesville and even a couple from Georgia in addition to all the over-the-air Jax stations.

Yeah, sorry,  I didn't see you were in Ormand Beach.   I'm in Sanford, so much closer but I bet you will still be able to get the signal.   Worst case, return the antenna if it doesn't work.

See generation J's reply above.  Smile

If you are out of coverage, you can watch it on preseason pass live.  If you are stuck in the gray area in a secondary market for the Jaguars, you can watch it on CBS at 130 AM tonight.

Well, for a guy like me who is really really out of the coverage area, I doubt they are going to show the game locally even at Sports Bars. And I don't know of too many places open at 3:00 am.

Ok, thanks for this info.  Worth a shot.  The frontrowsports streams are always horrible quality.  cant be much worse

I'm in California so i'm with you.  I'm just really hoping this sports bar i found will show it.  They say so on their webpage so we'll see. It's tough being a Jag fan!
