    Though I don't think it's fair to make a ranking now. Robinson hasn't gotten any real playing time and has been dealing with soft tissues injuries that tend to nag, combine that with the fact that rookie receivers generally struggle and I just don't see him rising to the top this year. Maybe next year will be his year. And while I loved Sanders coming out of college I think he will get lost in the mix because we actually have big receivers now which is more of what we want.

 

    Also, stop sleeping on Hurns. This guy is passing the eye test, has played competitively against ones and shown that the guy just has IT. Sure I can't think of 1 things he's elite at, but he's a big guy and a good route runner. He gets to where he needs to be when he needs to be there and then catches the ball and does something with it. That's something we haven't seen from our receivers in a while.

I think they will all have good seasons for their respective roles.  It'll be a WR by committee type approach, I think Shorts or Hurns will have 100 yard game here and there, with one of the other 4 guys stepping up with 60 yards and a TD.

 

I doubt we see Shorts or Hurns with 150+ yards and 2 touchdowns in back to back weeks.  It'll vary based on matchups.

Not with Hurns coming on the way he has. And Shorts the penciled in vet who got healthy first.

 

Rookie WRs rarely show much enough to warrant expecting big things from them.... so it's OK if Robinson and Lee sit back on the depth chart for now.

Next season, Shorts will walk in FA. Hurns, Robinson, and Lee will be the front 3. And I think they'll explode with Bortles at QB

Before the season starts, test your prognostication skills. Just predict how the Jaguar Wideouts will rank based on catches and yards. (Yes, I know that can cause a discrepancy in very rare cases) Just say who you think the best will be, and work your way down.

 

For me:

 

1. Robinson - Injured now, but will be the best when it's all said and done.

2. Hurns - Guy will make the most of his chances, and will evolve as Jimmy Smith 2.0.

3. Shorts - Will have a good year, but will be allowed to walk following the season.

4. Lee - Will have a good, but underwhelming year.

5. Sanders - Has a decent year, but pays the price for the hippie lettuce.

 

After that, Who cares. Special teams guys who may or may not be active every week, and will be lucky to hit double digit catches and triple digit yards for the year

 

That's me and how I see it today. It's the fun part of waiting for the year to start.
