D.Gratz Debate

#21

Quote:perhaps, we will see. I do think he made some plays that make me believe he could be something. It will be really interesting to see where this team is in 5 years and what the talent looks like.

This

Quote:Because he did. He really only struggled against Josh Gordan (who didnt?)
And This

Quote:Lol at back up material.

He was a middle tier corner (no pass rush) as a rookie and showed flashes of very good coverage ability. Allowed a qb rating of 75 when thrown at him (better than Revis).

Whether you like it or not he will be a long term fixture at corner in Jacksonville. You give people grief for overrating players but you underrate players way more.
So True

Quote:I don't think Gratz is really all that good. Not now, not last year, not as a college player.

He's probably best suited as backup material, but he's the best we got at present.

"not as a college player"

I can picture TMD breaking down 2012 UConn tape.

Both Gratz and Cyprien are much better than the clowns you wanted Jacksonville to draft.

Quote:But its his fool proof eye test...the same one that led him to say Jarrett Dillard would be a star and Cecil Shorts would be out of the league after a year

Never doubt a robot.

He struggled early last year as rookies are apt to do. He played well later in the year but gambled at times which made his mistakes stand out. I think he has great upside and will come into his own this year.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Its funny watching people get all uppity and defending players who are average at best.

Matt Barkley I wanted in the 4th round, yes. Barkley has as much chance of being relevant in this league as Gratz does, so if you're "lol" 'ing at him, you're also lol'ing at your own guy.

...and who's the other one? You said "playerS"

It's hilarious watching one person get all uppity and start bashing players even though his "eye test" has been proven to be pretty poor.

More like people who can objectively see that they had ups and downs as rookies but still played well overall and are going to progress....all while laughing at your laughable posts and stances.

Uhhh no he didn't. Barkley is a noodle armed qb who never had a chance in he nfl.

Gratz is a corner with good athleticism, fluid hips, long arms, and isn't afraid to hit.

So can you give us your detailed report of how Gratz has looked in camp so far. I'd be very interested to hear your take of everything you've seen so far.

lol....and isn't very good and rarely records interceptions. The above description is putting lipstick on a pig. Its still a pig, and Gratz in the end still produces average at best. We added Colvin this year, who will likely take over one of the starting CB spots once healthy, and next year, we'll upgrade the other one in the draft....leaving Gratz out of  the top 2 (starting CB) gig.

Nah.  You wanted him in the 2nd...he just fell and now you're claiming you wanted him "round 4".  LOL at implying Barkley has shown the the same promise has Gratz, Barkley has been trash every second he's been on the field, he won't last 3 years...Gratz played better than Revis as said earlier in the thread as a rookie.  And Arthur Brown is another...didn't feel the need to continue after Barkley tbh.  Go away.

Oh good you still use interceptions as a measuring stick for corners. Revis says what up.
