He probably would. Jordan might make a decent LEO, no?

Branch is a former regime guy.

No.

Branch is young and is showing signs of improvement.  As bad as the team was, he still managed six sacks.

See if it continues.

Jordan hasn't done anything.

Worst to 1st.  Curse Reversed!

Trading Branch for Jordan is about as realistic as trading Alualu for Geno Atkins

Branch showed some signs of improvement under this coaching staff. Branch showed squat his rookie year, just like Jordan didn't show "much" his rookie year (although he did show more than Branch for his),...

Put Jordan with this coaching staff and scheme and I think you could get more than what Branch has shown. Jordan has a higher ceiling than Branch.

what? Branch for Jordan is a fair trade IMO, not that i would do it. Alu for Atkins is like Henne for Rodgers

I'd give up Branch and a 4th for Jordan, easily.

And I think Miami would take it too if they're serious about moving on from him already considering he has proven nothing.

But I'm one of those guys that believes Jordan would become a maniac at the LEO position in Jacksonville or Seattle.

i never liked Jordan that much coming out of college nor did i think he was that good of a passrusher. He does have good length and coverage skills, he has potential but i think Branch will be the better player and improve again from last year

Within the Jag's scheme, IMO, Branch has not shown the ability to be a starting caliber Leo, as his pass rushing skills have been average.  Also, he's not suited for the big run stuffing base end on the other side either.  He would be better suited in Miami's scheme as a versatile DE.

Jordan, on the other hand, was used as a 3rd down specialist, as he proved to be a liability against the run.  Although he has bulked up in the offseason, giving some in Miami hope for better versatility, many in south Florida are worried that the added bulk will effect his speed and flexibility strengths.  I don't see Miami trading him and trashing their 3rd pick investment, until they see the results/impact of Jordan's offseason strength program.   However, he would likely be a better fit in Bradley's Leo role.

Regarding what the OP mentioned,  I think the Jaguars would be better off holding on to their draft picks than trade for any of those players.  With the possible exception if the Jaguars can acquire Dion Jordan for a bargain basement price.  Which likely won't happen on the Dolphins end.

Otherwise, my take is the team should hold on to the draft picks for the seasons that the team is positioned to seriously contend for a playoff spot and beyond.   Which could realistically be as early as 2015,  if Blake Bortles has earned the opportunity to start at QB on merit.

Meh Rodgers is now injury prone! I wouldn't make this trade, god help the day we get a good qb, the topics will halve!
