Football is fun again

This is what we were expecting at the beginning of the season.
Yes Gus Bradley you are officially the worst coach in Football We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Quote:I can't believe we got this meaningless win to destroy our draft position. #becausejaguars Who cares. The two studs of the draft (Garrett and Allen) are going 1 and 2.
It's a perfect Christmas gift to all of us long suffering Jags fans. The Jags whooped their rival at home and will most likely keep them out of the playoffs. What's not to like???

I felt ZERO elation after our other wins this season.I felt elation after the Colts win, but relief at best after the Bears win. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Just sweep the Colts next week, and we'll be well on our way to repairing the damage done by the gus era.
That win today was sweet. That was worth traveling from the Bahamas for, and I didn't expect it. A perfect Christmas this year.

Quote:I think today was more about Bortles, and to be honest, I don't trust him to play like this consistently. He needs to do it again next week, then spend all off season studying the tape and working on whatever he did to be this successful.I find it hard to believe that Bortles play turned around so graphically all just because Gus is gone. I am inclined to think that what Bortles did in this game he could have done earlier in the season. Why didn't he? He didn't improve mysteriously overnight I don't think. Was it really all about Gus to the point that Bortles was failing? Or was he tanking because of Gus? Who knows! All any of us can say is that the Jags looked like a different team today than we've seen and come to expect. Nevertheless, one good win proves n o t h i n g... and it's too late to put together a string of wins. Two in a row doesn't really prove much either unless it's a situation where you knock two playoff contenders out of contention. We show less advertisements to registered users. The tacks secondary was god-awful today. I'm sure that was a factor for Bortles, who is playing hurt still, by the way.

Yesterday was a lot of fun for all involved. There was no sense of panic or complacency from the team. The Titans had everything to play for and every unit made plays. This is the most complementary game the Jaguars have played since their 51-16 win over the Colts just over a calendar year ago. The difference being it took Gus almost 3 years to do it and it was the only complete game of his tenure. It took someone else with mostly the same team once.
No pain, no gain.

#Gojags Quote:Just wanted to post this somewhere. This seems like an appropriate thread. Do you happen to have anything for Lee's touch down pass?
Coughlin when asked if winning will be a focus: "What the hell else is there? This is nice and dandy, but winning is what all this is about."
Quote:Do you happen to have anything for Lee's touch down pass? ![]() I guess people may stop complaining about faking that reverse too often now? LOL I have to admit I've really enjoyed watching Marqise Lee absolutely destroy the predictions of his many doubters on this message board this season. I remember "he's a low ceiling guy that can't catch contested balls and is best suited to the slot" from one of our prolific draft "experts" around here. :teehee: :woot: Quote: Me too, I been on the Lee wagon from day 1

My favorite quote I read on this board about Lee was "he is not big, not fast, and has waffle irons for hands."
Hmmm maybe we should wait before we start giving up on players...
Quote:Studies have shown that winning is a better indicator of future success than having a high draft pick. Is that what that analytical analysis stuff will tell you also?
I survived the Gus Bradley Error.
Quote:My favorite quote I read on this board about Lee was "he is not big, not fast, and has waffle irons for hands.""Waffle iron hands .... salad tongs for arms ... can't make a contested sideline catch... " oops |
