Apparently things aren't going great with Blackmon. They have given up on him for THIS year. Next year could be a completely different story. We're not losing a thing by holding him. He could be Short's replacement in 2015 if we can't come to terms with him.

Washington kept him on the roster until he got his life together. They cut him after being reinstated then resigned him to a lower deal.   I just hope Blackmon don't take long to get clean up like Tanard. I still don't believe that Blackmon is done. Caldwell said he'd treat it like if they got him back it would be a bonus and thats exactly what he did. People act all surprised that we took 2 WR, but all that happened is Caldwell sticking to his word. 

 

If the Jags release Blackmon after he's reinstated, they are stupid. He'll go on to be a stud somewhere else for free. 

I think it more points towards us not wanting to pay Shorts a boatload to keep him then it is on Blackmon for sure being done.

The Jags have nothing to lose by holding on to Blackmon, but I would be shocked if he played at all this year based on Caldwell and Bradley's comments. I just hope Blackmon can get his life together even if he never plays another down for us.

Blackmon is not addicted to meth people. He can beat his demons. Blackmon is a rare mega elite receiver. Why did we draft Lee? Because to contend for Super Bowls we need a heck of a lot more than JB. Don't give up on this kid.
