Deciding what to do with their second round pick.  Smart.

That's a blowup?

Anyway, I think he's the best of the bunch. Most accurate (in games, apparently not in shorts), showed up in big games, and improved every year.

If you look at Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and Andrew Luck; all improved year to year throughout college showing they have high ceilings. The same is true to a lesser extent for Russell Wilson and Kaepernick who each had big jumps their senior year.

Looking at this year's prospects: Bridgewater made solid gains every year. Manziel and Bortles are 2-year starters which has proven to be riskier. Carr didn't improve except for the fact he threw a #@$% ton more passes this year. The other SEC QBs mainly stayed the same stat-wise.

And looking back, it's hard to find QBs in top tier college ball with a high completion percentage, starting 3-4 years, improving each and every year, that weren't successes to some degree in the NFL.

He could get hurt, but otherwise I think he's a guy that will play in a lot of NFL playoff games.

Wasn't it your history at another forum that proved you don't like him for certain other reasons?

This is true. But as far as I know no other prospect has visited the building twice.

Let him try to lump me in with the hooligans because he doesn't like my opinions. It hurts his women parts.

They could be planning to trade down, and if he's still available then pick him then.  Or they could think he's worth it at three.  Or they could think that he could drop to a point where they could trade back into the first round.

The team needs a Quarterback.  Dave will do his due diligence on the prospects I'm sure.

I think the most likely of the scenarios you mentioned regarding the Jaguars potential interest in Teddy Bridgewater is he drops to a certain point in the draft that the team brass decides now is the time to make a serious attempt to trade up.   Likely somewhere between pick # 20 and # 30.  Probably before New England is on the clock.   I could easily envision Bill Belichick taking Bridgewater in Round 1 as Tom Brady's eventual replacement.

These are your opinions and thats fine. But I don't agree. I do not believe he stepped up in every big game. But that's me. I actually would be happy to have him as a late 2nd round prospect.

I would figure they would probably wanna try to move ahead of arizona at 20.

I doubt the Pats draft a QB early. They are in win now mode and know that Brady's window is closing. I expect them to use their high picks on immediate impact players.

I still think Teddy is our best bet at #3.. but I would be thrilled if we got him after trading down.

It's realistically possible that this is the mindset.   A key question that none of us know the answer to is would the Jaguars be willing to pay the likely high price it would take to go up from Round 2 to the teen pick portion of the draft?

I think the more realistic possibility is that Caldwell is looking to trade down to the teens.

That's a very valid point.   Yet,  from the standpoint of value,  Bill Belichick might decide that he can't pass up the opportunity to land a QB of Teddy Bridgewater's caliber.   Knowing that there are many other draft picks that can be used for more immediate help,  as well as Free Agency following the draft.

The downside to that is the Jaguars would lose the opportunity to land a premium player at another position.
