No QB in this draft warrants a first round draft pick. But I do like looking at one in the second if a guy Dashawn Watson or Mitch Tribinski is there. Doubt it though.

I'm fine with giving him a year with a new staff. You never know. Obviously bring in some competition, don't just hand it to if he struggles, but it's not like there's a huge upgrade sitting there waiting anyway.

They will draft a QB or bring one in in Free Agency. Bortles looks shot of confidence and really has regressed. I think they will give him one more year but will draft a QB early for competition.

I think Bortles should just sit the following two games. In my opinion his arm has been injured but Gus was desperate so Bortles played.

 

Let Henne finish the season. Let Bortles rest. Put a QB coach with Bortles in the off season to work on mechanics. Come back in the spring with a new coach and let him evaluate him.

Unfortunately, our best chance of having a good quarterback next season may be if Bortles stops being terrible.  

 

Our choices:

 

* Bortles stops being terrible

* Branden Allen is Tom Brady

* We somehow sign a free agent QB who is not bad

* We somehow trade for a QB who is not bad

* We sign our Dak Prescott in the 4th round

This crap is why fans cheer for injuries.

Id just call them sick people, not fans. This is one of the most disgusting things in sports IMO. I understand wanting people to be replaced and firing people(which still is a pretty horrible thing to think about but not as bad as hurting someone) but thats just me.

 

That being said, I do want to see how Blake does with someone else but I also wouldnt mind a mid/late round QB in the draft as no one is worth it at the top IMO. I also wouldnt mind some FA bring brought in.

Yeah some folks can stay healthy or luck out, but thats not been the case for romo, poor guy has had some horrible luck with injuries as of late.

Except he's broken something almost every year the past 5 years.


2008 - broken pinky. Missed games.


2010 - broken collarbone. Missed 10 games.


2013 - ruptured disk. Missed a game.


2014 - fractures in back. Missed a game.


2015 - broken collarbone twice. Missed whole season basically.


2016 - compression fracture. Misses games and gets replaced.


I'd say that's a strong track record.
