Buccaneers sign Packers center Evan Dietrich-Smith

Quote:Hopefully we can still get Mack or Puente, if not I guess we draft a center
I wouldn't mind a De La Puente signing by the Jags.  (He is rated as the #2 OC behind Mack on Rotoworld, and is 28 years old.)  I'd prefer that over a rookie OG and rookie Center starting next to each other, especially with Joeckel pretty much still being a rookie after missing most of the season.  I wonder how much De La Puente would want for a 3-year deal?

Unless Caldwell is pushing for Mack.

We arent going after Mack anymore, the Browns have done something odd with the Tranistion tag. Not sure what is going on but as we heard with Daves comments the other day something isnt right. I sent Ohalloran a message and he said that we appear to have set our sights on the draft for the center position.

If Deitrich Smith was so good, then why wouldn't the Packers make more of an effort to re-sign him, especially at that price. This is the question that the people talking up this bum refuse to answer.

Idk , why is it that the other 30 teams didn't sign him to that contract either? You should ask them.

because he's apparently not as good as a few of you in this post are alluding to.

Quote:Has Paztor played any RG snaps in a game yet, and if so, how'd he do? I haven't considered this angle before.
He started a few games at LG last year shortly after joining the team. That's right, he, as an undrafted rookie who had been with Minnesota up to then, started at LG over Britton with very little experience, and held up pretty well as I remember.

I don't recall him ever playing RG in a game, but I remain of the opinion that if you have a starting-caliber tackle, you don't move him to a less-valuable interior line position unless you have two better tackles on your roster.
