This kid played in the almost FCS MWC and he sucked.
He didn't

He isn't even good enough to get a combine invite.
It's because he declared late and he was absolutely deserving to go instead of some others

Good for Brett Smith.  I hope he ends up in teal.

I would draft him 10 times over before Johnny Manziel.  If Manziel was available in the third or fourth that could be one thing but given where each will be taken I would take the risk on Brett Smith all day over Johnny "I don't know the nuances of the QB position" Manziel.  Manziel is far too great of a risk for me where he'll be available.

Robert Herron intrigues me even more and I really hope that guy ends up here.

Brett Smith over Johnny in a heartbeat, even if they were the only two options at the #1 pick

I like a lot of quarterbacks in this draft. Last year I only liked four.

So is Smith the flavor of the week? I see him as a 4th rounder. I wouldn't go as far to say Smith>Manziel.

Smith is a bigger, faster, stronger armed version of Johnny

If we want to go in the real mobile direction, I would much rather have Smith > Johnny in any round in any draft

There was a quote about Smith from Caldwell a few weeks back that made me wonder if we were targeting him. I can't seem to find it now though.

I don't like him as a day 1 starter but I would love him with a 1-2 year of marination.

Great arm, great physical tools. Tough minded, blue collar mentality

Type of player who I would route for where ever he goes (barring Texans, titans or colts)

So, by this logic, you believe that if Smith had played at A&M he would have had better #'s than Johnny? lol... this guy is a UDFA

Problably so, he didn't have an elite o-line at wyoming, he didn't have a mike evans

He is bigger, fast and has a stronger arm and plays how Manziel is supposed to be playing
