Clemons signed!

Quote:Nice, I think Bradley can get another productive year or two out of him.

Now if we could just get Clowney, our dline might actually be something next year.

Clowney would be the icing on the cake.

I love cake and am warming up the clowney pick SO much.  At 3, many things can't go wrong for us.  There are at least 5 players in the top of this draft I think would improve this team significantly.

Shack tried to get Clemons years ago but mistakenly signed C.Lemons the QB.

Nice!  That made me spit my drink out.

In order to rebuild, you have to destroy.

I'm loving how our Dline is looking. Still need that pass rusher.

Any estimates about the dollar amount,  signing bonus,  and/ or guaranteed money of the contract?

Na Clemons is rotation. Same with Branch. We need a consistent pass rush coming from somewhere, which is why I would def take Clowney if hes still on the board.

Everyone in this defense is rotation. Clemons was coming off a torn ACL and according to Seahawks fans looked like the old Clemons in the latter part of the season and playoffs. The guy is a very good pass rusher.

We definitely need to keep adding to our pass rush, but Clemons/Branch is a very nice start to it.

Wow. If Clemons can bounce back anywhere near his pre-ACL form, and with the signing of Bryant and Hood, the defensive line just got much better. Bradley and Caldwell are really doing well.

Leaving a lot of options open for the draft.

How does it hurt us if we overpay him?   A lot of guys are quibbling about the size of the contracts, but with the amount of cap room we have, it's possible that overpaying will not change anything.   Any decent accountant who has all the salary information for the entire squad can put together a projection of where we are going to be in 2 years, salary-cap wise.   It is entirely possible that we have so much cap space now, and the salary cap is projected to go up so much in the next two years, that overpaying guys this year will not have any negative effect on our efforts to built this team.
