Beadles Hinting at Decker Signing?

#21

Deckers not a bad receiver. Like everything else in FA it depends on the $ of course. But would he improve this offense? I think he undoubtedly would.

Quote:Don't want Decker. He did well with Manning, and made himself look attractive. Not worth a huge payday though IMO.

Not worth it at all. I wouldn't pay more than 5 MIL per for Decker. He'll get more from some team, just hope its not us. He's a product of the system.

I wouldn't give him that much, personally.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Which System The Tim Tebow or Peyton Manning system he was pretty solid in both. He even said himself he's not Damaryius Thomas. i think he may sign cheaper then your thinking. I wouldn't give him more then 7 a yr personally.

The Jets are going to have the first opportunity to meet with Eric Decker.

As for the Colts,  considering how much Jim Irsay loves headlines,  they should indeed be considered a realistic possibility for Decker unless proven otherwise.   That much more considering Reggie Wayne is coming off a major injury and being at an advanced football age.

Agree, at the right price he could help.  But I wouldn't spend a lot (or expect too much if we did.)

Some of you are underrating Decker in my opinion. He isn't the elite number 1 but he is a very good number 2. I'd love to have him here for 6 mil a year.

I like Decker, and would definitely sign him for 6M/year, however I believe he gets 8M/year from the Jets/Colts. The Jaguars desperately need a big bodied receiver that can go up in high point a ball in the redzone.

Decker is like Shorts....he's really effective when theres that Blackmon/ Demaryius Thomas type receiver on the opposite side, but isn't good enough himself to be that kind of player without that. The textbook WR2.

A bigger, more physical & durable Shorts.

But Decker Shorts and Blackmon could be legit. Any one of the 3 could be a 2nd tier corner or nickel corner if we ran 3 WR sets. Depending on how much he's asking for, I would love for him to come to Jacksonville. Mike Wallace type money? No way. Something cheaper? Yup.
