im going to go against the consensus here and say i would like this guy in jax... give him a 2-3 year deal with a small amount guaranteed and let him be the stop gap untill we can figure out blackmons situation... not to mention he is a instant #1 which we dont currently have.

and he seems like one ur not gonna have to motivate lol http://deadspin.com/steve-smith-is-pissed-1543298144

Steve Smith?? Wallbash

Hey I got an idea....lets cut Blackmon and Shorts, keep Ace, sign Emmanuel Sanders, and sign these other 5 WR's: Steve Smith, Ted Ginn, Mike Thomas, Danny Amendola and Andrew Hawkins and we can call our WR corps the 7 dwarfs.

While I'm not a fan of bringing Smith in, receivers don't have to be 6' tall to be studs. It seems like you've got this mental prototype for each position, and you freak out if the team signs (or someone suggests that they sign) someone smaller or slower or in some other way not a perfect fit to the TMD Template™

I'm a huge Steve Smith fan but I'll have to (somewhat) agree with TMD here.

It's much harder for a smallish WR to stay effective when he loses his speed and explosiveness. And Steve Smith is rapidly approaching that territory.

May have missed the mark a bit (albeit true), but sometimes there's value in being succinct:

He's old.

Can't deny that. I do. I'll give you credit for perception.
