Jadeveon Clowney runs unofficial 4.47 40-yard dash

Quote:Honestly, I could care less what Clowney's 40 time is. If he's running 40 yards at full speed in a game, the defense just gave up a big play.

... or he's running toward the sideline.

If it was South Carolina this past year, that would be Kelcy Quarles hustling down field, not Clowney. The only reason I watched Clowney video was to catch a glimpse of Kelcy.

I wonder what Spurrier has to say about him?

his first step is incredible

was watching his run on the nfl.com and they put his run up against a faster time might have been dri archers and at first 10-12 he was ahead because of that explosion before flagging towards the end

considering the max he should be running is 10-15 yards i'm very happy to see that surge

i can see why he has such an impressive inside move now because of that speed

and the best part is he is still so raw as a pass rusher.

it's all down to whether bradley feels they can motivate clowney in my book

the more i watch of him and as much as i want to trade down and accrue more picks with the depth in the later rounds the more i feel we may have to take him if he is there at three

definitely in a quandry today

There's no quandry. Clowney has no business sitting atop the draft. He's more PR than great.

He is a rare, elite talent.  That's what puts him at the top.

What he does or does not do with that talent will determine his greatness.

The draft has more to do with point one than point two.  After all, if we knew the answer to point two ahead of time, then drafting would be very, very easy and no one would ever get it wrong.
