Nobody started a thread about the Dolphins getting a new logo last year and it was a dramatic change (swimming instead of jumping dolphin). What did you all think of that?


I never understood why the Vikings felt they needed to modify theirs. It is just a little tweak, not a major alteration like ours, but seemed to get a lot more attention from the media.

that's because there logo is all fluffy now.. Looks like something at sea world like a playful shamoo or something.

I think the Bucs chrome facemasks are actually pretty cool,....however the rest of the helmet looks ridiculous and is a downgrade from what they had. 

 

The Jags helmet would be perfect if they just fix the color split and make it an actual fade from black to gold. Not sure how they can not see this or don't want to see it.

Jags logo is fine. I just don't like the helmet too much

Agreed.  I think that was a real gaffe with the new uniform roll-out here.  If they'd gone with a matte black, or a gold helmet, I would have been fine with it.  Merging the two just looks tacky, and we're stuck with it for a while unfortunately.

Again, the problem isn't "merging the 2" - Had they actually faded the 2 colors into each other, it would have looked great. The problem on the current Jags helmet is the sudden color split of the gold & black. 

 

Fix/ update the helmet with a proper fading of the black to the gold and it will look awesome. - And thats not that big of a change - so its something they could do without the league having issue with a "re-design" so early.

I am not all that observant of uniforms minor nuances, but personally I am not all that fond of the black to gold fade on the Jaguars helmet. Had it been less abrupt, it may have been a much better scheme. I think the Ravens helmet would look pretty good if their scheme would fade slowly from glossy black to glossy purple like a Ravens feathers.

You might think it looks just dandy the way it currently is, but I'd bet you'd like the finished product even more if the colors were properly faded into each other. It would take the concept the Jags tried to utilize, but improve it ten-fold.
