Throw another log on the Bortles #1 fire

Quote:Mettenberger is a less polished version of Bortles. Why not just grab him later on.

And I'm a less polished version of Mettenberger.   Why not draft me?

I'm fine with taking Teddy or Bortles with our pick, Do we actually take one of them? I doubt it. But with teddy is Football IQ and finesse And with Bortles its Big Ben and the plays he makes after getting hit in the face and the defender bounces off. Yeah there's questionable decision, but if our receiving core comes back 100% and we rework our line, and maybe pick up a decent RB who's good in pass protection late in the draft then we stand a chance next season on offense.

I don't get the Bortles hype.  Nothing about him screams top QB or #1 pick.  Besides having good size he is a very average College QB.  Even his highlights are underwhelming.

Check out my scouting report for his SoCar game... I don't think he's anything special. I'm casually watching his bowl game, he's not doing anything impressive here either. Hope Houston takes him.

Tannehill was much better than Bortles coming out, your giving Bortles too much credit

A much bigger, more athletic Fitzpatrick is actually a good comp for Bortles. His arm talent is pretty similar to Fitz'..and honestly a much bigger, more athletic Fitzpatrick would probably be a pretty darn good QB too.

If Manziel make the play at the 1:00 mark, people would be going nuts over it.

I hope they do. I hope Clowney gets passed by the team at #2 and he's sitting there at 3. The more I think about it the more it makes sense. You take him unless a lucrative trade deal comes up. However I don't see Clowney making it to 3. He may not make it out of the first spot.
