Quote:This board will collapse when we pick bridgewater as the third pick

I don't think it will. I think you will be very upset if we don't. I trust the FO, that's why they get paid to do what they do.

Like I have mentioned numerous times though, all but Manziel are not worthy of a top 5 pick. And most if not all of the remaining QB prospects shouldn't be taken before #10 overall....

I am sorry you don't agree, but those guys are only as good as the pieces around them. This is not a bad thing, a lot of QBs in the league are not capable of carrying a team, esp their during their first few years. They need talent around them to be successful.

The top 10 prospects on my boards are in this order (rating out of 100):

98 - Jadeveon Clowney

96 - Jake Matthews

93 - Sammy Watkins

90 - Johnny Manziel

89 - Darqueze Dennard

89 - Taylor Lewan

87 - Mike Evans

87 - C.J. Mosley

86 - Greg Robinson

85- Teddy Bridgewater

Funny that bridgewater is the only qb woth a 1st round grade on our board

Heck todd mcshay has bridgewater at 93, manziel at 90(far.too high for manziel)

I dont think you know how rate qbs at all

No offense

Bridgewater dropped 2-3 points in mcshay rankings due to size

If we draft ted, that's exactly what will get.

No offense taken. I haven't seen the Jaguars board so I have no idea how they are rating players. Also, I am not Todd McShay, I am going off my opinion based on what I have seen for these 10 players as well as others. And that is how my top 10 are rated.

Will I be right, probably not, but I don't need someone else to form an opinion for me. Just like you are entitled to your own opinion.

Superbowls? Playoff berths? Whats wrong with any of that?

Manziel isn't worth a Top 50 picks, let alone a top 10 pick.

Some team will reach for him though.

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I think teams will look at brett smith as a cheaper, controlled, better alternative to manziel

Why overdraft in the top 10 for a player who arguably is better in the 2nd-3rd

Before the college season ended I felt the same way. I thought he would be a boom or bust prospect. But he had an even better year as a passer than he did during his Heisman year, and IMO with a much less talented cast around him on both sides of the ball....

But again thats just my opinion. But 2 years in a row is not a fluke to me, and this year I actually saw him as a QB who can run, rather than a running QB.

I can honestly say that I have watched TB in live games and many draft vids. He has a quick throwing motion. He knows his offense and knows where his receivers should be. He throws a catch-able ball inside 15 yards. He knows how to read and react to the blitz. Having said all that he's a good college QB and nothing more.

Manziel on the other hand, I living in Texas have seen many of his games and even more of his draft vids. I can say that I wanted to dislike his game. I didn't want to like what I saw. I was quick to assume he was a run first qb who doesn't read a defense or have vision for his receivers. I have no rooting interest in Texas college teams and yet everything I assumed about Johnny was wrong. Johnny is a QUARTERBACK not a game manager! I have a stronger conviction than ever that Johnny should be a Jaguar with the 3rd pick.

People make the grave mistake of think the college success, especially one a sumlin type offense translate to nfl

If that was the case geno smith would have been roy and the texans wouldnt be looking for a qb

Funny that you bring up Geno Smith because I think Geno will actually be a QB in the NFL longer than ted.

It sounds absurd to put it midly

Bridgrwater would have had the jets in the playoffs, in possible play for a sb berth

Fyi, bridgewater dominates the 15-30 yd accuracy charts as well
