Besides John Fox, which coach is most responsible for the Broncos losing the Superbowl?

Seattle just had a better team. They are more agressive, more physical, and just built to beat the kind of team Denver is. Honestly Denver is not that much different than the Colts (aside from the 1 year they won the Superbowl).

Denver is a finesse team. The offense is predicated on timing and a ton of YAC. How do you take that a way? Squating, jumping routes. Being physical. At one point in the game the Manning's WRs looked completely out of it. They were scared to take big hits as they were getting beat up all game long. Their running game is also suspect. It's all draws, traps, and stretch plays. They won't outright pound the rock.

The Defense.....No major playmakers. Very very suspect secondary, and an inconsistent pass rush.

This all adds up to great regular season but no Superbowl win.

Manning, like nearly all superbowl winning QBs, requires a better than average defense. A running game is also crucial.

To add to Solidsnakes good post on the Denver Wrs:

It reminded me of the first Pats V Colts AFCCG in which a physical Pats secondary beat the crap out of the sissy [BLEEP] (sorry they really used to tick me off) finesse based offense and WRs of the colts and Manning whined on end after the game about rule changes.

Just like then by mid way through the first you could tell the Denver Wrs had no concept of how to handle constant tough physical play. Guys slowing down mid route (Decker did this multiple times) , turning their heads while the ball is being released (Welker,Decker, and Julius THomas did this alot) , and not going for tip plays for fear of getting clocked while tracking the ball (Think the RB during Mannings pic-6).

It was a total TEAM failure. Peyton threw ducks, o line abused, special teams gave up a back breaking play and the defense couldn't get off the field. I think it's less about what the Broncos did wrong and more about what the Seahawks did right.

Of the Broncos 3 Coordinators,  Jeff Rodgers was the least responsible for the Broncos loss.  The score was already 22-0 by the time of the opening 2nd half KO for a TD by Percy Harvin.   The Broncos Offense and to lesser extent their Defense was what put them in a hole that they weren't going to come back from regardless of what transpired on the first play of the 2nd half.

Quote:I can imagine Gase is kicking himself right about now for not interviewing for a HC job when he had the chance.

I feel like any team wanting to hire a coach of Manning is so dumb. Manning is the coach. A guy like McCoy already had success with a guy like Tebow which is something to be proud of.
