If Johnny Manziel can be compared to Steve Young, why do so many people hate on him?

I am saying play styles. Like I said in my post, I feel Manziel has the potential of being a lesser Steve Young.

When I see Bortles I see a slightly bigger Andy Dalton... at least in terms of looking at Dalton when he was coming out of college.

Both played at a midtier D1 school mostly playing midlevel competition.  Both are very accurate.  Both are athletic but not known for being runners.  Both have good enough but not elite arm strength.  Both are winners leading their teams to a BCS Bowl.  Both are good at almost everything but maybe not great at any one thing.

TCU was playing more of a spread that didnt ask Dalton to make as many downfield throws.  His arm was stronger than you would have guessed watching him play in college.  Bortles plays more pro style and is asked to make more down the field throws... so I think dont think his arm will be any stronger than we've seen.

Dalton went at the very top of the 2nd round but he was also in a stronger QB draft class.  This year he might have gone a little higher.
