Who said Mike Glennon isn't good? We are just comparing him to other likely UFAs. Brian Hoyer would be the best in that group, not Mike Glennon.

Rex Ryan does not want to talk about his quarterbacks until after the Bills are done playing

No surprise here, but it is typical coach speak. He might have other ideas behind closed doors.

I'd prefer Tyrod, but Glennon is not bad.

Either would be merely a bridge to the next franchise candidate.

Both are likely better immediate help than anything in this year's draft.

Tyrod might not be the future but he's good enough to win the division with next year. Caldwell can't afford for Blake to be bad next year so I'm sure he'll seriously consider it.

I don't believe Tyrod is nearly good enough to win the division. I do believe he could lead us to a 6-10 to 8-8 record though.

Sad part is, that's right about what's needed to win this division.

I don't know, the Titans have made huge strides and I believe they will be even better next season. If the Colts are smart, they'll cut ties with Ryan Grigson and once that happens, I believe they will get much better. The Texans are stuck in neutral though with that horrible contract they gave to Brock Osweiler. He may be worse than what they had with Hoyer. They have a very good defense, but their offense is lethargic. They'd be better off starting Tom Savage.

Swap Bortles in for Tyrod this year and we would be 5-7/6-6 right now.

Along the lines of what you mentioned,   Tennessee appears to have the most potential in 2017 to separate from the other teams in the AFC South.  Especially,  since they have the Rams 1st Round pick,  which could be a top 10 pick.

Unless Brock Osweiler becomes noticeably better because of more time in the Texans Offensive System,   Bill O' Brien and co.  have a major problem on their hands moving forward.    The QB position probably will keep them from being a legit Super Bowl contender this season.

I agree.

The fact that we are even having these talks, tells you Bortles ain't the guy.

The fact people are having these talks on the forum is they love to be negative about the Jaguars. That needs to stop. Who do you think our QB was in 2015?

Were just being realistic because we have a bad quarterback.

You are not being realistic if you think the guy who threw 35 TD passes last year is a bad QB.

Tyrod would be a nice addition and an upgrade on the QB play we've had but this teams problems are larger than just bad QB play.

This team needs wholesale changes at the top first.

Stats with no context dont mean anything. He wasnt as good as his numbers suggest last year and hes flat out terrible this year. This board has went over this ad nausem

The team is going to get wholesale changes in leadership, but I think it is as simple as saying the offensive problems are as simple as bad QB play to be honest.

I'm not a big Tyrod guy personally.

He'll be looking for starter money.

You don't bring in competition for starter money. You bring in a replacement.
