RB Joe Washington had a TD pass, a receiving TD, and a kickoff return TD on MNF. The most likely way for a RB to score, a rushing TD, was the missing piece that game.

There was a game in 1979 that the late Walter Payton had a passing,  rushing,  and receiving TD in Minnesota.   At that time, the Vikings still played outdoors at Metropolitan Stadium,  in Bloomington.    However, despite being effective returning kickoffs early in his career,  Payton was no longer returning kickoffs at that time.  There was never a more complete RB than Walter Payton.

 Will there ever be a running back like Sweetness?  I will curse Ditka until the day I die for putting the ball in Perry's hands and not letting Payton finish that drive!
