Surely you realize that Teddy Bridgewater and Alex Smith's destinies are not tied together in any way, shape, or form, and surely you can tell that one of these quarterbacks is better suited to play early-on in the NFL than the other was.

Watching Teddy in the pocket and the way he throws the ball makes me swoon sometimes. Not saying he is a sure thing but boy if we are picking and he is on the board, I can see our guy tripping due to the extreme hurry they will be in rushing our selection up. He isn't utilized properly in my not so expert opinion. We must take a shot and pull the trigger on our "guy" in the 1st. Assuming Mariota enters I'd rank the qbs like this:

2a. Carr

2b. Mariota

3. McCarron

4. Boyd

5. Murray

I'd love to see us take Murray in the 5th/6th with him sliding due to injury. Guy played his tail off with his 3rd string most of the year. He made a believer out of a hater this year
