Can you point out where they guarantee you 'something in return'?

Season ticket holders HAVE been a second/third thought. Premium home games overseas. Home games played away that in the next year or three can determine a playoff appearance.

When my neighbour,an orginal holder,  didnt renew , he was offered 4 free extra tickets  for individual games in his same section if he renewed. Later he was offered his same seats at close to half price. Then he figured buying game day tickets was cheaper because he didnt have to shell out full price for two exhibition games. He was offered a perk for every individual ticket he purchased. He showed me the emails from the team offering these discounts. So, are season ticket holders being duped? Your call.

Like someone in the O-zone said: I don't come to watch the other team, I come to watch the Jaguars.

Quote:People complain about being season ticket holders?

I have been a Jaguars fan for most of my life (18 out of 28 years). I live no where near Florida so I don't even have any friends who are Jaguars fans to have my back.

I WISH I could go to every game even with how garbage the team has been lately.
I agree. I have been a season ticket holder 10+ years..and I live in Atlanta!! The only games i miss are when I am out of the country on business.....No one is forcing anyone to be a season ticket owner...if one does not like it they should simply just not renew!

No. It's much better to go to a message board and threaten to cancel your season tickets!!

Season ticket holders mean nothing to this organization. Look at KC, they gave 12th man jerseys to every single season ticket holder last year. Something like that would be a nice gesture for the organization to do especially after having the 3rd uniform change in 3 years. Nope, lets just make some money and change it up every year with a new logo or new uniform. The Jaguars have had more uniform changes in the last decade than the Steelers or Bears have had in their history. Ridiculous.

If the organization actually cared about an organization and retaining their season ticket holders they would offer varying levels of rewards.

For instance maybe a discount of 1% off face value of a season ticket and concessions for every year you renew. So if you were to renew for the first time you would save 5 dollars on a $500 dollar season ticket, but after 20 years you would be able to save $100.

It is a practice that is used in the business world often and helps to show that the organization appreciates your long-term commitment to the organization.

Instead of promoting long-term commitment, the organization would rather cater to the short-term "fill the seats now" people by offering 2 free beers, etc. While I know one might argue that they pay $10-20 dollars more a game, they do not have to pay for preseason games and the 2 free beers easily make up the difference in price.

Everyone says that Khan is investing in the city and this and that, but what I see is another ploy to lure people in short-term to the games. I am sure that the ticket prices will rise next year; it was even hinted at when they unveiled the plans in February and how most tickets remained the same in price, etc, etc.

The best thing that can happen is that people quit drinking the kool-aid that is being poured for us and to wake up and realize we are just a puppet in the organization's long-term plan. There is no light at the end of the tunnel, please tell me what free agent would want to come to Jacksonville? Maybe an average player that we will overpay (i.e. Poz, Robinson, Porter, etc.) and not talent that could actually help propel us to some wins.

Yeah, the $3000 worth of discounts doesn't compare to a cheaply made, overpriced jersey.

Must be sad to judge everything in life by it's perceived dollar value.

No playoff wins since 1993. But you get a free jersey.

Yep, those $3000 dollars worth of discounts are a great deal when one lives over 2 hours away and they are only useful if you live in Jacksonville.

Im going to call Envirovac today to see if they can drive 2 hours away to clean my air ducts so I can save $50 dollars. Great value for me.

I would be more interested in a 75% discount on a hotel stay in Antarctica. If you believe those are some good deals I got some ocean from property in Colorado to sell you.

More competitive team, year in and year out plus a free jersey.

Quote:The Jaguars haven't been competitive since 2000?  When did you become a fan?  2009?

The team has had less competitive years than successful ones since 2000, but there have been 2 playoff berths squeezed in there that you've conveniently chosen to forget.

As far as no commitment to the season ticket holders (not really sure what you mean there, but I'm assuming you mean no perks given) that's crap.  I'm sitting here looking at a book of discounts that are exclusive to season ticket holders.  I just used my Jags rewards again today to make a couple of purchases at discounted rates that are also exclusive to season ticket holders.  I filled up at Gate today as well and picked up yet another reward from them that's exclusive to Jaguar season ticket holders.  All of this trumps a couple of free beers at the stadium, or free bags given out to season ticket holders, but hey, ignore facts in order to post one of these ridiculous boo hoo threads.

The $60 million in new video boards is 1/3 funded by the owner who has already spent another $13 million out of pocket to renovate the locker rooms and other facilities in the stadium.   That's certainly the sign of not having a care in the world about the future of the team here.

Let us know where to send the crate of tissues and the truckload of Midol.
Once again FBT laying it down proper!

LOL maybe you should be a Chief's season ticket holder since they seem to do things the way you believe they should be done.  If I was a season ticket holder only for the free stuff then I have really wasted my money on four tickets. Just come right out and say you are looking for a reason to moan and complain about how the season ticket holders are treated. OBTW the last thing I want is a free jersey...I live almost 6 hours away and find plenty of uses for teal deals when I am in town for a game. My recommendation would be to hide when Mr. Kahn is holding the gun to your head forcing you to renew your tickets!!

I'm not the one complaining about not getting enough discounts or free gifts. I made the comparison because you pointed to the KC thing as an example on how to cater to fans while casually ignoring the fact the Jags are offering a season ticket bonus unparallelled in the NFL. Personally I wouldn't care about Teal Deals or getting free jerseys or anything other, I buy my tickets because I want to, not because they're cheap or I get promotional deals.

record of 412-388-12 for the Chiefs

record of 140-156-0 for the Jags

Guess your right. Jaguars are more competitive than the Chiefs.
