Woman hands out letters to 'obese' children for Halloween
|
I just want to be certain I am on the same team ... we want bad for her, right?
I mean, that was what I was going for with my previous post. ... Not you know, anything to do with anything else (unless that is okay, then I meant it). ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! I used to do the same thing, but the fat kids kept eating the letters and my message never got across.
Who the heck trick or treats in North Dakota, isn't it like negative 20 degrees up there right now?
The kids probably gotta be fat just to survive the winter!

Better thing to do, I think, is just not hand out candy. The candy is just as bad for a fat kid as it is a skinny kid.

Took my kids trick-or-treating last night. Thinking about it... it's good exercise going door to door. Especially if you have a big neighborhood. I imagine in North Dakota houses are pretty far apart. I live in a small neighborhood, but took my kids to a nearby neighborhood that's much larger (on our block there is maybe 5 houses that hand out candy, and ours is one of them). I'd say we walked at least two miles, maybe more.
Sure, that doesn't burn up all the candy calories. But how many kids really eat all their candy on Halloween night anyway? Back when I was a kid, I always had leftover candy on Election day. I doubt my girls ate half the candy they got last night. They're all a healthy weight (maybe even a little under weight), and I can't speak for other kids. But I do know there are a lot of kids who love to save their candy, and even trade it at school. If she really wanted to help those kids rather than just act superior to everyone, she'd have published something in the newspaper on how parents should watch how much candy their kids eat in a POLITE way. Most parents check their kids candy anyway. It's not hard to ration it. I imagine a lot of parents do anyway.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

This morning they woke up looking for the candy, I told them no candy this early in the morning, they had a "what the hell dad" look on their face, it was priceless!
I hide in the bushes and shoot the fat ones with an airsoft pistol. . I still give them candy though.
Looking to troll? Don't bother, we supply our own.
I let my kids eat all the candy they want, but they have to hand over all of the candy laced with LSD.

I'm just gonna' go ahead and get this off my chest....
I intentionally buy more candy than I know I will hand out each year and I buy the kind I like. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:I'm just gonna' go ahead and get this off my chest.... Of course. In fact, I seldom get more than 2 or 3 trick-or-treaters, yet always buy two bags of candy. Reese's Cups and miniature Snickers.

Reminds me of the look my kids gave me when they realized their mom stole all their pixie stix. I'm really bad at telling my kids 'no'. Luckily with Candy, they don't overindulge. Last year they counted all their candy and made sure they'd have enough to last until just before Christmas. They're also good at sharing. Honestly I think it's better that kids have some candy now and again. I'd say they're less likely to overindulge if they have it every now and again. Everytime we go shopping together, I'll ask the girls if they want a candybar. Quote:I'm just gonna' go ahead and get this off my chest.... ...YOU MONSTER! (Or at least you are if you like some bad candy...) We hand out full sized candy bars, and because my wife loves them we always have pixie stix on hand 'just in case' we run out of Candy in our tiny neighborhood where around half the trick-or-treators are our kids.

I bought four big bags of candy...snickers, kit kats, twix and a bag of wonka mix. We were hoping to have some left over but by 8 last night we ran out of candy and then had to hide in our house in the dark like a bill collector was after us because the little beggars would still come knocking on the door when the porch lights were out!!
They were busing them in by the car load over here! It was crazy! This is the first time that we've ever been home to give out candy since we bought the house in 95...I think I will find something else to do next year!! Half the kids weren't even dressed up and there were several moms with tiny babies in strollers going around for candy! We even got yelled at by one mom! She told us she had a kid in a stroller and we had to come out to bring her the candy!! My hubby and I looked at each other then looked at her and told her to get bent! We HAD to bring it to her!! Not ask us nicely if we would! Like we owed her candy! Lmao
