yeah one of his problem in college was consistency, but it seems like losing jrue was a big risk, may not be as big as it was if mcw becomes consistent.

 

i never like rekes game but i was hearing noises that the pelicans plan to move gordon and that was the reason for rekes signing.

 

Defensively? - I love the trade! MCW will absolutely be a better defender than Holiday. MCW's defensive game is legit - he's got great size for the position, and averaged close to 3 steals per game in college last year. He could realistically be a 3-3.5 average steal per game guy in the NBA. 

 

As a distributor - MCW could be just as good if not better than Holiday on an average basis...

 

But as you said, his offensive game is a question mark. Now granted.....a point guard usually isn't asked to do a whole lot scoring wise - as a general rule, but MCW's shooting pct in college were poor. Both at the line and FG%. 

 

It will be interesting to watch him develop. His ceiling is probably higher than Holiday's given the physical advantages. 

 

 

 

Tyreke has no deep game. To be a 2 in this league with no 3 ball prowess is useless.

Also, for the past couple days I was trying to think of an NBA comparison to Michael Carter-Williams' as a player....and was having a hard time, but there is one. - Ricky Rubio. Both are tall and lanky - RR 6'4"/ MCW 6' 5", both are tremendous in steals for average, both have horrible shooting pct, both have very good court vision and pile up assists, and both are about the same threat in 3 point shooting and similar rebound averages.

Oladipo is still raw, he just need to develop more touch so his shots don't get blocked. If they move AA or Nelson before the trade deadline passes he will be starting.


Vaughn is starting to irk me with his rotations, against IND he took Oladipo, and Nicholson at crucial times.

yeah idk if he deserves a pass since he took a year off pretty much even though he was cleared to play. but his game should get better as the season goes on though theyre still just playoff fodder with that crappy non shooting bench.

Why?  He is a rookie and played in 2 games.  He is getting his minutes thats all that matters.

Love and Rubio are a nice 1-2 punch for the Wolves. They have some nice pieces around them too. I could see them finally making the playoffs this year.

1. Both are good but I think if Oladipo would get the same amount of minutes that MCW gets that Oladipo would breeze with the ROY...

 

2. Sixers need to slow down if they want that top pick. Also perspective: Heat win was minus Wade, and Chicago was at home and Rose isn't right yet. I'm a Sixers fan, but being realistic. 

 

3. Lakers are in no way better without Kobe. If anything, they are better without Howard who played horribly for them last year. 

 

4. Orlando might be doing just that - feeding Afflalo to inflate his numbers and raise his draft stock....if so, thats a smart move - too bad the Jags were too stupid/ unwilling to do the same with some of their veterans leading up to the trade deadline.

Completely agree about this. The offensive production will definitely dip but he will make up for it with defense and passing ability. I just hope he doesn't ruin your chance at Wiggins or Parker. That team could be the new OKC if they get a top 3 pick this year.

I know....lol.....just when the 76ers fans resigned themselves to the fact that this team would probably be horrible this season, but the prize would be one of the big 2, now that plan seems to be interrupted, lol

 

If they are smart they'll deal some of the veterans (Hawes/ Turner/ Young) that aren't part of the long term plan. That should help the record stay low, and generate some additional future picks.
