Was the tank plan in effect before the start of the season?

There is a difference in being bad and being atrocious.
This team is atrocious and has not lost by less than 10 points all year. Yes I expected lots of losses but not to this extent. We are barely an NFL caliber team. There is no excuse for how bad this team is ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Nope. Remember Gabbert would have been the #1 pick if he declared for the draft in 2013. Per Fisch

Silly me. What was the team suppose to do? I guess doing nothing is seen as a positive on the board.
Carry on ![]() Quote:If you want to count a slightly improved secondary then whoo hoono. I just prefer to have a little bit more of an intelligent view rather than expecting miracles. Personally I'd rather rid this team of the vermin that had infested it for the last ten years. I absolutely understand what they're doing. I/we just need to hope that Caldwell is a better talent evaluator than the previous regimes. Some people just need that immediate gratification. It was happening with this team. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:There is a difference in being bad and being atrocious. No, there is an excuse. Count how many Gene Smith draft picks are on this team. Then think about how we assemble the rest of the roster. Castoffs, and UDFAs. Think about it for a minute, and let it sink in. THIS IS NOT CALDWELL OR BRADLEY'S FAULT. Quote:I think Bridgewater at 3 is better value than Mack at 3, yes. <div> LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Clown. </div> Quote:There is a difference in being bad and being atrocious. I don't see them making excuses. There isn't excuses. They are horrid. We knew it before the season and now we are seeing it right before us. They pretty much warned this season was going to be bad. They will probably end up winning a game or two. Fortunately for them, they get to play the Bills, Cards, and Browns. Quote:Like what exactly?Incessant whiners who aren't capable of taking a step back and breathing?
On Wisconsin.
I am not blaming the ex regimes players for the talent on this team. I was yelling for Gene to get booted years ago.
My point is this team did very little this offseason to improve a terrible product. We cant' expect rookies to come in and play well. Hence I believe the tank plan may have been in the cards before the season started. I ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! It's funny that you and some of the other morons around here love to label people whiners for calling this team out on it's pathetic product on the field. It's also funny that you and some of the other idiots were the ones giving Gene Smith years to prove he sucked and also labled anyone whiners for calling the team out. Rinse/repeat. Same old jaguars message board posters ![]() Quote: Count how many Gene Smith draft picks are on this team. LOL. Only 10. The problem is more that 8 starters were replaced by UDFA's, waiver wire pick-ups, and rookies. But - that's a reasonable first step in a total rebuild if you ask me. Quote:I am not blaming the ex regimes players for the talent on this team. I was yelling for Gene to get booted years ago.Yeah. It would have done us a lot of good to fill in with some free agents. We could have easily got 4 wins. ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:How exactly do you expect to build a roster then genius? 1. Spend some money in FA. This team has over 20 million and spent like it was broke 2. Find a different option at QB. Draft, FA, trade for a back up, etc. Find a way to put a competitive product on the field. Better then doing nothing ![]() Quote:LOL. Only 10.Some people will just never understand.
