[BAD WORD REMOVED] the Refs

#21

Bad teams never get the good calls.  It's just the way the NFL is.

But the Jags had lots of opportunities to win on their own and they blew them.  You don't want to put the game in the refs hands, you simply outplay the other team and don't leave questionable calls on the field.

It's getting to the point where I no longer want to watch football. It isn't the Jags vs. [Random Team]; it's the Jags vs. the refs vs [Random Team].

These aren't even questionable calls. These are obvious mistakes.

Texans got raped the other night by the refs and they're in a large market and a .500 team. The officiating has been horrific this year all over

Bills have been on the short end of the stick all year as well. Refs had to pick a side in this one.

I'd argue that we did outplay them. You can only do so much against refs taking away TWO turnovers and first downs. They gifted them a first down at the end, gifted them the clock when McCoy went OOB.

Should've had a fumble and a pick. Two game changing plays.

I have to agree with this post. Yeah we're a bad team. Yeah we might not get the same ticky tack crap that other teams might get away with. BUT... there is some integrity in the world of professional sports to uphold and this was a giant slap in the face to that. Game changing calls and no-calls are getting out of hand in the NFL. It's not just the Jaguars dealing with it (although it seems to effect us more than anyone else), but a league-wide issue. Can we get some better trained and observant officials in the NFL? This is ridiculous.

No pain, no gain.

Seriously the refs blew it but come on did you see us winning?  That Mccoy run was garbage play by the defense.  BB threw nice passes and guys dropped them. This team plays so vanilla on defense we never have people near the ball.

Early, yes. It got better toward the end, but most of the game was 2-yard runs with Robinson and Yeldon up the middle.

Referees should be disciplined for incompetence.  Fines or something to get their [BLEEP] in order.

How about the refs have some SELF respect and learn how to do their job!?

If the team having only 2 wins in any way affects how they call a game, they should be fired, and publicly humiliated for being TERRIBLE at their job and directly ruining the sport of Football.

I couldn't give a crap. Both teams had good and bad plays but the refs made so many calls against the Jags today it was obvious how rigged the game was.

Until they put in full-time refs with consequences for poor performance, this is unlikely to change.

I understand that there's the human element, but when you're calling penalties that simply didn't happen, there's no excuse for it.

He should have called a timeout when the play clock was going down and they got a delay of game.

He asked the Bills to kick again which resulted in a big punt return which led to a TD.

Bonehead mistakes that lead to losses.

And a push off on Watkins, and PI on Gilmore for a 1st.

And the clock should have been stopped on McCoy going out of bounds. Them not stopping the clock forced Gus to waste his final TO which meant he couldn't challenge the next bad call one play later when they spotted the ball for a first down when he was way behind the line.

Stop blaming refs... the problem is our coach is a complete simpleton.

There's enough blame for both Gus and the Refs today.

Gus making typical terrible decisions does not change the fact that this was one of the most poorly officiated games I've ever seen
