Jeff Driskel Out For The Season

Before they lost to Georgia.

As far as Driskel's college QB 'career' is concerned, I think Murphy will seize the starting job and never relinquish it. Driskel may be on the team as the Gators backup QB next year, but I view that as a 'career over' result.

You have the wrong definition of "career is over." Did you think Alex Smith's career was over when Jim Harbaugh demoted him last year? Look at him now, still in the NFL - and starting. "Career is over" only means one thing: he is not playing football anywhere anymore and never will play football again. Jeff Driskel is still a football player because he is still on the roster.

Murphy looked really sharp until that pick, completing his first 13 passes. This is the best QB play i've seen from a Gator since Tebow left. It's a shame to see him make that play but it is his first start.

LEONARD FOURNETTE FAN CLUB PRESIDENT. I WAS BEHIND HIM WHEN YOU ALL SAID HE WAS BRANDON JACOBS. QUIT HATING ON THE JAGUARS. GUS IS GONE. COUGHLIN HAS RESTORED ORDER. FOURNETTE IS FRED TAYLOR. DONT BELIEVE ME JUST WATCH.

Yup and the pick was a terrible play he looked off the defense and went to dump it off to his RB but the LB made a great play and jumped the play for the pick

May be the best thing that ever happened to Driskel.  Wasnt Jordan Reed recruited as a QB?  But then made a switch to some kind of H-Back/TE role for the Gators and now he is in the NFL. Driskel cant make the NFL as a QB.  However the dude is big and really fast.  If he shows any sort of ability to catch, he can find a role in the NFL similar to Reed.

You mean the worst thing thing happened to Driskel. I know how bad broken bones hurt when the fracture is complete and requires surgery to fix. The pain is excruciating. I just hope he is wearing a big orthopedic boot instead of plaster.and can walk when it does not hurt.
