The price? First round draft pick in the 2014 draft.

Edit: Didn't think to look in the AFCS section  Wallbash

Meh, don't think it's a major blow for the Browns or really a major gain for the Colts. It seems like Richardson has been on the injury report every week since he was drafted. So maybe he gets back to 100% at some point? But even if he does it's no guarantee he'll be the same RB he was in college.

You never see midseason trades like this in the NFL

Maybe we should be on the phone to trade MJD to the Browns. I'd take a mid round pick.

Wish the Jags could/ would trade Mojo and get some decent value. Hell, I'll take a 3rd rounder at this point.

The Browns at this point are essentially punting the season away, they don't want any players that could improve their 2013 record. It's all about setting themselves up for the 2014 draft. Kinda what we SHOULD have done in the 2011 season to set us up for the 2012 Luck draft, but no...we had to get those extra meaningless 2 wins.,,,

I'm guessing if Caldwell could get something worthwhile for MJD, he would.

Well thats the hope at least...

I still cringe when I think back to the comments Caldwell made about Marcedes being one of the cornerstones to go forward/ building with...

To me its clear that Marcedes is a player whose salary far exceeds his production. He's also not a spring chicken anymore. Those aren't the type of players you "move forward" with. Those should be the ones you cut bait with.

If we finish last in the standings as I expect us to I don't think it will be a problem. Now the real question is if the Browns offer multiple first round picks and various others (see Rams Redskins trade) to move up in our slot do you take it?

Well some Browns fans are angry/sad that Richardson is gone because: "He's a top 5 RB in the NFL, god the Browns are stupid".

Give them MJD for a promise note saying they won't take Teddy

Well, I didn't see that coming. For what they gave up to grab Richardson in the first place (remember, they traded up one spot to pick Richardson), this is a lot of egg on the Brown's previous regime's face.

The Browns were already going to have a high (1st through 10th overall) pick in the draft, now they are getting a mid to late round pick? They are poised to turn the corner on this rebuild a lot faster now, but now they are in need of a running back as well as a Quarter back...

That makes the Jags/Browns game a little more exciting. I thought last weeks game was the game for number one pick

As long as we are drafting 1 or 2 come draft time I will be happy.

Oh wow. Stunned when I heard this.

Great, young player. Most of his contract is already paid by the Browns, plus Richardson will be able to play with a real QB. Play action game will also be improved with this move.

We'll see how this plays out.
