Cut #99 Sen'Derrick Marks
|
There is no discipline on this team.
Respect the game. Play with a sense of urgency.
1.) Take care of the ball. Win the turnover battle. 2.) It's all about 3rd down. Win on 3rd down to win the game. 3.) Playmakers make plays. The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays. Learn from the great collapse of 2023. Gus presser, we can't just blame that one play. Any other coach would have roasted his player for doing something idiotic.
A good loser is a good loser
It would be forgivable on 4th and 1 but It was so obvious I was surprised they were even trying. But then maybe the Lions know #becausejaguars
No...
Unless you are cutting Bortles for his boneheaded plays? Or Ivory? Or Fowler? Or any of the other players who have made stupid plays? One common theme that is emerging is that players are starting to speak out about how they are used, or not used on this team. This coaching staff has lost any grip they had on what's going on.
That was honestly one of the stupidest players I have ever seen a Jaguar make.

Why are we even surprised at that play? Call me a cynic, but I knew exactly what would happen that play.
Matthew Stafford mentioned after the game that the hard count he used on the 4th and 2 play is something he picked up from studying the Jaguars-Chargers game from early this season that Philip Rivers used effectively:

D6 delivering the research, and Marks delivering the error on a million dollar play. But who am I kidding, we weren't winning that game anyway.
So yeah, cut the loser if he doesn't wanna be here. Not like we've won 3 games on the back of Senn's performance. Or even won 3 games. Quote:D6 delivering the research, and Marks delivering the error on a million dollar play. But who am I kidding, we weren't winning that game anyway. After S' D. Marks made his post game comments after the loss to the Texans, there's no question that he opened the door for heavy criticism. Not only did he show up his coaches. He also indirectly criticized his Defensive Line teammates by saying that I should be playing over some of you that had more Defensive snaps than I did. How he responds the rest of the season should go along way for the Jaguars organization to determine whether to bring him back next season. If Marks doesn't act like a team player moving forward, other teams would be wise to pay close attention. Every NFL team is going to have adversity. Coaches and players need to remain on the same page. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
What a weekend! First I watch a group of players absolutely determined to prevent a last second touchdown by LSU, then I watch a group of pretenders absolutely determined to find ways to lose a football game.
Quote:Why are we even surprised at that play? Call me a cynic, but I knew exactly what would happen that play. When I saw the lions lining up to go for it, thought of the crowd noise and the uh-oh....they're trying to sucker us went through my mind..Hope we don't bite. AAaannnnd .....a Jags player takes the bait. There was a time we all loved Marks and how he teamed with Miller. Remember the sack he made a few seasons ago that (I think) tore his acl. Now we want to fire him. This losing thing is affecting the newer and Veteran players and all of us. The season and overhauling the coaching staff can't come soon enough.
Because Jaguars is our mantra

Okay. We can cut Marks. As soon as we cut Bortles for throwing another pick six in back-to-back weeks, marking his tenth pick six thrown in under 40 career NFL starts. Let's cut Ivory as well, since he just fumbled the football again for the fourth time this year. Let's replace half our special teams unit, since you know, they've coughed up the football three or four times this year on returns which lead to points, or, like yesterday, gave up a touchdown. This entire team sucks. You all need to understand that. You can't just nitpick one particular player on a 2 - 8 football team. Because all 53 players on this roster have to go through extreme lengths to be this terrible. We have maybe five or six solid players on this team that you could look at and say "Well, at least they care and seem to want to win". But the rest of them? Forget about it.

Cut him... He's overweight, out of shape, and has no self control in critical situations. Jacksonville can't be a place for washed up players to finish out their careers anymore because they think losing is acceptable here.... it's time to drain this dumpster Jacuzzi.
I ain't no monkey... I'm an ape.

Out of shape?
I was under the impression that round is a shape?... My bad.. ![]() 80% of what I talk about is nonesense.. the other 25% is made up statistics... Quote:Matthew Stafford mentioned after the game that the hard count he used on the 4th and 2 play is something he picked up from studying the Jaguars-Chargers game from early this season that Philip Rivers used effectively: Read the article...heck they didn't even have a play called. Stafford totally suckered us.

Cut him? Nah. He made a huge mistake, He has more than earned his measly contract while here. Played solid ball. Battled thru multiple major injuries. Has been a fan favorite and a wonderful addition to the community. The Jags could use a team full of dudes with his dedication.

Well said Quote:Read the article...heck they didn't even have a play called. Stafford totally suckered us. What also got my attention from this article was Matthew Stafford going all the way back to the Jaguars game in San Diego ( Game # 2 ) to do preparation for the game. This pleases me greatly. In the NFL, gaining an edge on an opponent is critical, as the difference between most of the teams aren't that great. This is one major reason why Peyton Manning had a HOF caliber playing career. The so called little things add up. Considering most Jaguars fans are understandably not happy with their team's coaching and the trickle down effect, I think this article can provide value for those that are looking for further reinforcement of PART of what it will take for the Jaguars to get to the level you are hoping for. |
