I'm not looking for a record or a number of wins.  I'm looking for something that really shows that this is a competitive team that breaks through the past.  The organization really screwed up last year and I'm looking for something that restores the relationship with the fans.

I want to see a team that works together and pushes through together.  I don't want to have other teams mistakes be the reason we win.  I don't want to talk about how some crazy ref call was the difference in a game.  I want this team to be good enough to make their own breaks.  I don't want the illusion of 2015 and the hype of 2016.

What kind of record would it minimally take to avoid this fan base malaise at this point next year?

For me it's 10-6 and it's pretty simple why. As it stands, the team looks pretty well constructed. The defense is hyped up to the max and on paper looks good enough, receivers has weapons galore, generational RB selected 4th overall, offensive line should be good enough to get the job done, and on special teams I am personally expecting great improvement with the offseason additions there. The schedule right now looks weak. Everything boils down to Bortles. You put any top 15 QB in the league on this team right now and you are not saying 8-8. Most are saying 8-8 based of recent history, which is a sad thing to think about but understandable. At a record of 8-8 I am afraid at the end of the season the reality we will be saying Bortles is truly not the guy, and a new QB needs to be drafted which means more time.

For me, I think 7-9 is obvious, palpable improvement. The question marks at QB & OL are big enough that if one or the other improves to the point that we get to 7 wins or more, it's huge.

I'm sad that I have an anxious feeling about the season rather than an excited one. 7-9 would be enough for me to be full of optimism again next offseason.

.500 Record for me would be a nice change.

If we are tied for the division lead at 8-8 as someone has projected then hopefully we can be in the chase in December for the division. That would be huge. If we somehow can be in a dog fight to win the division with a .500 record, it will be as exciting to me as when JSmooth caught that pass in denver to knock off the broncos in the playoffs.

I would literally run through a wall!
